Okay...need some input on two new songs from a recent practice session. The Fire Burns Inside and Like a Disease are the titles and are still in the rough for now, but close to how we want the songs to sound. thanks for your input...
Kudo's to Eddie Metal and all the participants of the Rock for Kosair show last night at the PHT. Had a great time listening to some kick-ass bands with my sweetie (who managed to hang in there and enjoyed the show too!). It was great to get out and see some great acts, didn't see all of them, but hey, I'm old and don't have the piss and vinegar I used to. Started out in the Saloon with JeffersonTarcBus kicking on great rock'n covers - KrosJoint (Awesome!) tearing down the house and man Buzz can still belt it out with the Band rock'n the house. Unleashed (Amazing young'ns) throwing down on covers and origins. and finally before retiring back home and to bed, Signal The Revolution (Blew the damn doors off the place!) Hell of a band, killer guitar tone Chris! Great time, Great Music and people!!!
Sorry folks, but The Old Louisville Coffee House decided to cancel tonights show due to the UL/UK game - bad call on their part IMO, but it is what it is! Hope this gets to everyone in time that was planning on coming out. Again, apologies to those planning to show after the game tonight, this is beyond our control, best regards.
Looks like this will be our debut for new material since the Semi-Cide CD in 2004. We may slide in a couple of the past tunes for good measures from Semi-Cide, but the majority will not have had any public exposure. Looking forward to the experience of how the new songs will be received at the gig.
Sane Anonymous wants to send congratulations to our Bass Player Tony (T-Man) on finally getting married to the one that got away!...congrates to Tony and Lisa, be Happy and Be Safe.
Wanted to thank family and friends for showing and listening to us this weekend. It was hot, alot of work and almost too much for this ole guy, but we pulled it off for better or worse(where have I heard those words before lol). All said and done, it was fun to play out again and man the Festival was packed all around. Thanks again.
Things are looking up for Sane Anonymous. Killer new drummer is banging it out dead on while we are gearing up for the Portland Family Reunion/Festival shows on the Friday and Saturday Night June 3rd and 4th at 7:00pm - 8:00pm. So far we have added 5 new tunes just for the show, and will be adding them to the new CD that will be coming out hopefully this Fall 2011. oome out and help us rock out the Portland neighborhood. Hope to see you there, be safe.
Okay, so someone was asking where does Sane Anonymous stand as of today. Here's the scuttle-butt to date, we're breaking in a new drummer to become familiar with the older material and he should be good to go in another 3 weeks with that. The two guitarist are working together to fine tune the two guitar attack sound and so far it's a Marshall sweet zone of pure vintage Marshall tone. We're finally putting it all together in the studio after this is done. Nuff said, except for it should be interesting once this cd is completed. Our hopes are to be ready and we're setting our sites for this years Portland Family Reunion event the first Saturday in June 2011. We'll keep ya posted if we make it or not, later.
Okay, so we gave playing covers a shot just to get out there and play no matter what. Turns out, we ended up having flashbacks of why we stopped. Well, a slap in the face can wake you back to reality. The reality is, we just want to write and play Sane Anonymous material and nothing else. So get ready, we're coming out again balls to the wall!!!
Well, did make it to the final round for the Classic Rock ShowDown, but didn't make it into the final 9 to compete. Hey, that's the breaks, but we're still seeking local gigs and will hopefully be out there soon!
