CHATTANOOGA, TN – November 13, 2012 - Behold The Brave just released The Great American Challenge. The record, produced by Matt Goldman (Underoath, The Chariot, As Cities Burn), is the band’s full length debut on Regenerate Music Company. The four-piece from Chattanooga, Tennessee showcases their rock-and-roll sound, similar to The Alabama Shakes, in each of the nine tracks. They’re loud and experimental and not afraid to show it
Their first single, “Band Meeting,” focuses on vocalist Clayton Davis’ soulful capabilities and the group’s outstanding harmonies. It’s overwhelmingly catchy and an excellent introduction to their style and the emotions they strive to evoke. The guys spent the last few years solidifying their lineup and sound and building a strong local following. Their show attendance continued growing, as did their writing and performance skills. “The first time I heard Behold The Brave, their live show and song writing blew my mind. I knew immediately that they had what it takes to make it,” says Regenerate’s Christopher Garmon. “I then noticed their influence when people began approaching me to show me the ‘best band in Chattanooga.’”
They recorded most of the album live to truly capture the raw passion fans connect with and appreciate during their concerts. “Some shows seem like a judging panel. We want to break down that panel. And through this record, we want to meet people. We want to instigate people to be less uptight. We have a great time sharing our music and we want everyone else to as well,” says bassist Joel Parks.
The band is currently routing a CD release tour to promote the record. For more information or to speak with them, simply reply to this email. In addition, the full EPK is available for viewing below.
