FIRE DOGS:(motorcycle club) a charter MJT sponsor, today, provided these nice patches (see my photos section) for my jean jacket, FIRE DOGS, with four chapters represented here, Johns Creek, East Side Crew, North Crew, Blood Mountain. Wayne Potts, and these motorcylists, brothers, made sure I had food, gas, and survival money during my deepest and darkest hours, while I was caring for my dying mom. They understood, and showed up to provide help, protection, and brotherly support. Thank you brothers, I'm forever grateful and indebted to you. I may not have survived that period without you. DON’T COMPLAIN Words and Music by Matt Evan Johnson 2014 © Copyright Matt Evan Johnson, BMI
Life goes on everyday Take the good with the bad and it’s okay Nothing is ever going to be right So let’s just have a good time tonight
We’ve all got something to complain But in the big picture who’s to blame? So just lay it all aside for one night And let’s just have a good time tonight
Don’t complain, don’t complain, don’t complain, I’ve heard enough of the talk and the pain, Tomorrow’s going get here just the same, So tonight, don’t complain, don’t complain,
We’ve all walked a mile in our boots, We’ve all felt the pain of our disputes, It’s time we rediscover our roots, Yeah, love one another, you know it’s true,
So tonight, don’t complain, don’t complain, I’ve heard enough of the same old thing, Tomorrow’s going get here just the same, So tonight, so tonight, don’t complain,
Tomorrow will get here soon enough, So tonight it’s honey, honey hush, Just hold me close so we can make love, And tomorrow I’ll release you like a dove,
So tonight, don’t complain, don’t complain, I’ve heard enough of the same old thing, The morning’s going get here just the same, So honey tonight, don’t complain, don’t complain, So honey tonight, don’t complain, don’t complain, It’s alright, it’s alright, don’t complain.
WHAT WE SEE Words and Music by Matt Evan Johnson 2014 © Copyright Matt Evan Johnson, BMI You can call me insane And point all the blame If you want to You can find me at fault Any way you want If you want to Or you can find a reason to love I’m not perfect just because It all depends on what you see You can have your own way And go your own way If you want to You can find every reason To justify treason If you want to Or you can thank the stars above That you found somebody to love It all depends on what you see So what do you see? Baby… [SOLO] We can fuss and fight Or we can make up all night If we want to We can go our own ways Or we can start our own blaze If we want to We can thank the heavens above That we’ve found somebody to love It all depends on what we see Yeah it all depends on what we see Yeah it all depends on what we see.
Original music isn't free; it costs money to write, record, produce, and distribute. So, please don't ask me to send you free music and I won't ask you to send me free money. If I provide a free copy of my music to you, it's a gift; it doesn't change the fact that it costs significant energy, experience, thought, time, and money, to write, record, produce, and distribute a song... Just sayin'... Matt...

I just got home from my day, with a warm pepperoni pizza in hand, yum. Prior to stopping to get my pizza, I was at QT fueling my SUV from the day, ready for tomorrow. As I was about to leave QT, a young kid, probably 21ish, approached my vehicle, asked me to roll down the window (to talk). He said he was from Ellijay, needed to get home, was out of gas, and asked me if I could spare some money for him. He was driving a Ford F-150, not a very fuel efficient vehicle, expensive these days; and, I knew nothing less would get him all the way home (2 hours drive) than $20.00 in gas. I could tell by the look in his eyes and the way he was asking me that he was serious; he wasn't scamming me. I said to him, "I've been right where you are". I reached into my wallet and gave him a $20.00 bill. As he looked at what I had given him, he asked me "are you sure?" I said "yes". As he walked away backwards, he said "thank you" and proceeded to look-up to identify the gas pump number over his pickup, so that he could go inside QT and pay for the gas. I think he was somewhat stunned and didn't know how to react, that I had given him a $20.00 bill, enough to get him home, and was probably still in that nervous mindset we're-in when in a desparate situation; it's takes time to decompress, and feel the relief. As I was pulling away and he was walking into QT, he turned around to me again, waved and said "thank you" with sincere gratitude. I'm not saying this to brag in anyway, but rather to share that I believe in "what goes around comes around". God knows what took place, whether or not the kid was being honest with me. Intuition, I believe he was being honest with me. I helped another human being, one of my brothers, one of God's children, get home safe tonight. I don't give money to everyone who pan-handles for money; I try to use good judgement in that some are just pan handling scammers; but, I could tell this kid was sincere. I know and trust that God will return the $20.00 bill to me, maybe more, because "what goes around truly does come back around." God knows, I helped someone today... Love... Matt... c):D
Grateful, my life has turned around a complete 180 degrees since just a year ago, from unemployed, broke, and homeless, to employed, cash, and home; in fact, all things considered, I've never had it this good; and, it just keeps getting better; each day is a new adventure... Love... Matt... c):D
