Hey everybody (the 6 people who might read this), so I'm at a point of extreme excitement and fear over this whole Berklee thing. "like Berkeley in California?" no..... Anyways, I'm looking at the very short time I have left in NC and I can't help but feel sad. I'm leaving a lot of great people and things behind in September, and it's going to be hard for me. The hardest thing to leave behind will be my mother. I'm proud to say that I am a momma's boy through and through. I love her and will miss her dearly. So, that's one side of the coin..the other? It's BERKLEE! Right? I mean I realize how big of an opportunity that is, it still seems unreal to me when I think about it. Plus, I went up there this past summer and for the most part loved it. They've got some of the best faculty you could wish for and some pretty damn awesome facilities. Oh, and sure I've heard the horror stories about Berklee and I'll admit they are terrifying. Of course there is the "ol'" saying "if you graduated from Berklee, you didn't make it." And yes, while still only a saying, it's a little concerning, I mean you wouldn't say that about most other colleges. Why couldn't I just want to become a scientist or something? I am working on new music by the way. More on that later. Thanks for skimming, ~Wayne (Scenic Route)
