I have recently been inspired to go back to my classical roots and compose a couple of rhapsodies. You will find videos for my Rhapsody #1 in D major and Rhapsody #2 in Dd on my Reverb Nation page and on my YouTube and Facebook pages. Please give them a listen and let me know what you think. If you like them please feel free to share them. Thanks and God bless.
It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here goes: This past summer I had an awesome time performing a solo tour out in Colorado. The whole band has done a few shows this year, but now with Jonathan having a family his all his own (yes, I'm a grandfather for the first time) it's been hard to schedule anything. I am still performing solo, and enjoying it tremendously. I'm going a Christmas gig on December 23rd at the Chick-fil-A on Houston Road, Florence, KY. That show runs from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Come out for good food and some music to get you in the Christmas spirit.
As many of you know Jonathan Estep stepped down from Revival Ridge effective the end of 2011. Since then I've had to do a lot of soul searching concerning Revival Ridge. After much prayer I am disbanding the group in an effort to spend more time with my family. It will mark the first time in almost 20 years that I haven't been associated with a group (first The King's Strings and then Revival Ridge). I will be singing solo every-once-in-a-while (promoting songs I have written), and will be evangelizing wherever the Lord leads. I will still be going out west for another tour (my 6th year doing so). So far I have bookings in Calhan, CO for the GospelGrass Festival (June 21-23), Walsh and Springfield, CO. I am currently looking for bookings for June 20 in the Colorado Springs area and June 27 within 75 miles of Springfield. I will keep-up the ReverbNation and FaceBook sight for my ministry. Please continue to prayer for me and my family as we seek God's will and direction. Thanks for everything. God bless.
It is with much pride (and sadness) that I announce that Jonathan will be leaving Revival Ridge. He is pursuing a position of youth minister and feels that that needs to be his primary focus. I believe he will do great working with young people and singing with his worship band “Awaken”. Jonathan has been traveling with me since he was 7 years old and I am sorely going to miss him. I have, as many of you have, seen him grown from a little kid standing on a milk crate to be a fine young man. We will still be honoring all our dates through the end of the year and any dates that are on our calendar for 2012.
The focus of Revival Ridge will change somewhat from exclusively bluegrass to evangelism, revivals, worship music (with acoustic instruments) and music (instrument and worship) workshops. I believe this will open doors for myself, as well as for Jonathan, to minister in ways we never imagined. Pray for us during this time of transition that we truly follow God’s directions for our lives and ministry. Thanks so much.
We are currently taking bookings for fall and winter revivals. We have plenty of open dates starting the end of October. Please contact us ASAP if you are interested. We are also taking bookings for Revival Ridge for 2012. Book early as we had to turn down quite a few bookings this year because the date requested was already booked. For more information you can contact me thru Facebook or via email.
There are 2 new videos posted to our page. These videos were recorded at Coffee in the Vine, Greendale, IN. Let us know what you think.
Three new songs have been uploaded to our ReverbNation page. The songs are "Troubles and Trials", "Sweet Hour of Prayer", and "Working on a Building". These songs were recorded live June 3rd at the Little Grantville Bluegrass Festival, Bedford, IN. Let us know what you think about them. Thanks.
This Saturday, June 11, Revival Ridge will be in concert at Coffee in the Vine Music Festival, 777 West Eads Parkway, Greendale, IN. Revival Ridge plays at 7:00 pm. We will have a limited supply of our new "LIVE!" CD available. Also, we will have a jar at our table for donations for our upcoming Colorado tour. We are looking for help because of high gas prices. We estimate it will take approximately 100 gallons of gas to go to and from Colorado. If you would like, you could sponsor us a gallon of gas. Any donation, however, will be appreciated. We look forward to seeing all our friends this Saturday. God bless.
For anyone that's going to be at our Greendale, IN show this Saturday we will have about 25 of our new "Revival Ridge LIVE!" CDs for sale. I already have some reserved for people who have requested them via Facebook. If you want to reserve a CD please send me a request through Facebook at either "Revival Ridge" or "Paul Estep" Thanks.
Our new CD is due to be released next week. It's a live recording of a recent concert performed by Paul and Jon at the Little Grantville Bluegrass Festival, Bedford, IN. The CD has some songs never recorded by Revival Ridge, including "Working on a Building" and "Just Any Day Now". We might(?) have a few copies for this Saturdays concert in Greendale, IN. If you would like a CD please contact me through ReverbNation or Facebook.
