New Album Release

The Epstein are currently mixing their second full length studio album which will be released later in 2010. It will mark a great step forward for the band who have been lovingly crafting its sound both in the studio and on stage over the last year.

This follows on from the bands debut album ‘Last of the Charanguistas’ which won widespread in the UK as well as in Europe. The Epstein have spent much of the last 18 months promoting the album and this has seen them playing all over the UK as well as making regular visits to Germany and Holland. Summer 2009 saw the band perform at various festivals in Europe including the prestigious Eurosonic Rhythm and Blues Festival and in late 2009 the band completed a 15 date tour which took them all over Germany and Holland. This followed on from a UK tour with Canadian low-fi masters, OX.

The band have been festival regulars throughout the last few summers and this has seen them play at Glastonbury (twice), Innocent Festival, Wychwood Festival, Canterbury Festival, Lounge on the Farm, Cornbury Festival, 2000 Trees, Truck and Wood Festivals as well as many others throughout the UK.

6.06pm, an intense instrumental from the first album, also won the band an award for Best Soundtrack at the XDance Adventure Film Festival held in Utah in spring 2009. The song features prominently on the soundtrack of the surf documentary Chasing Waves soon to be released in both the USA and Asia.
