2 Corinthians 11: 3for just as Eve was deceived by the serpents cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ...(NIV), 1 Timothy 6: 20avoid Godless foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so called knowledge.21some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. (NLT), 2 Peter 3: 17I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends, so that you can watch out and not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people. I don't want you to loose your own secure footing. 18but grow in the special favor and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (NLT)
Had a good practice Friday night.... looking forward to our upcoming ministry meeting and the upcoming opportunities to serve our Lord... waiting on Mr. Huntley to link me the info on our two upcoming events, then they will be posted
16 When the teachers of the law, who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" 17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." --
Should we not also welcome those that respond to the message we proclaim? Regardless of appearances or associations? If we turn away people because they have sin in their lives, are we not then acting the same as the Pharisees? Be it a response to the music we share or the proclaiming of the written Word, we are not to turn away the 'sick', for they are whom God cares about.
Been grinding away at promoting. No practice tonight, bummer, but its all good. God is rich in his blessings.
God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble
looking forward to the upcoming lineup this year, which may include an event at Sunrise Church in Rialto.
Philippians 2:14-16 (New King James Version) 14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you ...shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
