Hey, all. Hope everyone had a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day Weekend. I had a great time playing out. Billy Chapman Band played over at House Of Blues, Orlando and had a great time on Friday nite. New video's are in! We have videos of "Sometimes", Get in Line" from A Million Tiny Fingers days, and "Solitary Man". You can click here for our youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/BCB11000?feature=mhum and view all our videos! We would like to thank Rich Atataman Productions for creating some great video and photos when we opened for Robin Trower. I only thought Rich had made still shots, but then he sent us the videos and I think they really look great! It is our first song length videos since the release of "Rosalea's Dream" and we are happy to have them out there. Many times you either get good sound or video but Rich captured both for us on these! Check them out, and if you like them, share them and tune in for more!If you want to access the downloadable album, the link is http://www.digstation.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?albumid=ALB000068262. Woah, the price of stamps went up! Just got back from the post office dropping off our cd's to be mailed to a few of our local friendly publications for revew. Very exciting to have so much support from the community around us, everyone has been very open to our new album. We have sold more than a hundred physical units (51 at the album release alone!)and we have not gotten our first notice of online digital sales yet. We know that some of our friends have already bought the album in this format on itunes, digstation, amazon and others. Let us know if you have bought our cd online and how your experience was. We want to make acquiring our album a most happy experience for our friends, so drop us a line and tell us, we're here! Billy
Feb26th, 2011 Wow, things are really starting to happen for us, lately! Just yesterday we were very happy to participate in a live on air interview and acoustic performance on our local college radio station WFIT, located at Florida Tech. The program director, Todd Kennedy had us in for a half hour session and we had a great time. We used the two acoustics, one djembe format. Easy in, easy out. Todd recorded the show and as soon as we have a link to their podcast, we'll put it across to you, so you can hear the performance. We also got some video and will be putting those links on youtube shortly. We are also looking forward to the album release party at Doubles in Indian Harbor Beach tomorrow at 3. Gonna be a fun show. We are getting the kids to sing with us live like they did on Pieces on the album. Should be a blast.
I'm sitting here with a brand new cd in my hands. Rosalea's Dream, a nine song cd is here, and we are very excited to welcome the next member of the Billy Chapman Band family to the world. Today I completed all of the digital sales forms online to bring the album to Itunes, Napster, Amazon and more. This will be another opportunity to spread the good word around about our project. The last thirteen months have passed like a whirlwind what with studio time, practice, teaching, taking care of the kids and playing gigs, but it was worth it! Rosalea's Dream sounds and looks great. The people at discmakers did an awesome job making what I had in mind just right, and made me feel very welcomed during this project. I would like to thank first off, Mark Brasel and Andrew Walker at The Zone Productions for the recording and mixing, Bob Olhsson at Audio Mastery in Nashville, TN for doing a great job on the master and Rich Ataman productions for the art layout on the cd cover. We got our families involved, too by using our kids Ella, Gavin, Conor and Rowan for backup singers in the song "Pieces" and for Rowan did one of the pictures on the inside cover of the cd! No thank would be complete without thanking Dave Clark on Bass guitar, mandolin and backing vocals as well as my old friend John Paul on the drums, backing vocals and motivational input. Got to run, we'll talk again soon! Billy
