We just got back from a fabulous gig in a Christmas Show in Linden, TX for the Academy of Texas Music's latest fundraiser. Wow! What a fabulous time! The building is really coming along nicely and will be even more wonderful by the next Texas Music Awards ceremony at the end of March! We encourage EVERY musician in Texas to join the Academy of Texas Music...support live music in our great state! Have a very Merry Christmas!
We're heading into a busy season of gigs and traveling, but the wildfires and the drought have been foremost in our minds. We are only as blessed as those who struggle...it takes all of us to keep the ship afloat! It is with a huge sigh of relief that we awaken to rain here in Houston! Finally! Look around for someone who needs your help today...extend a hand. The music is great but it's the humanity that is the real connection! See you out there on the road! Andi, Bill & Ren
2-Bit Palomino has been awarded "Vocal Group of the Year" in the 2011 Texas Music Awards! Wow! This past year and a half has carried us a lot further than we ever thought it would. We are so grateful for the response to our music and look forward to sharing our next, acoustic-based, CD of music with you! thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Bill, Andi & Ren
It's amazing to us that we first officially performed as 2-Bit Palomino on April 29th of this year. To see how far we've come in just 6 months is mind-blowing to us. In this time, we've conceived of and recorded a full CD. We've released that CD and are now benefiting from radio play! Wow...
The funny thing is that we feel as though we've known each other all of our lives. Like we've been best friends, even family, forever. I guess that's the difference between when something is just "meant" to be and something that is forced into existence.
We're blessed by the friendship and love we have for one another. We're blessed by the balance in our very different voices when they blend together in harmony. We're blessed by the musical camaraderie that we share and the comfort that we feel with each other when we perform.
Mostly, we're blessed that our music is pleasing to others and that in such a short time, we've been able to build such a wonderful base of friends to share our music with!
We had our first public performance as 2-Bit Palomino last night at Main Street Crossing in Tomball. Thanks to Lisa and Matthew and all the crew there for making the night so awesome! The sound (Thanks Matthew) was incredible and we had a really nice crowd to play to.
We were instantly impressed by the attentiveness of the audience at the show last night. It was much different than other live performances where we've each felt like we were just muzak or background music. We were blessed by each and every one of you that came and participated.
We're now looking forward to the Wildflower festival and then we're really going to focus on getting some gigs, hopefully all around Texas.
Last night was the beginning of a long and wild ride! Thanks for sharing it with us!
