Visit to Toronto

Made a pilgrimage to my home town of Toronto last week. What an incredible trip. Stayed with my old friend Debbie Fleming, one of Toronto's premiere session singers. Debbie and I would often work together in the 80's in the top studio's with some of the best that Canadian music had to offer. Advertising was big in the 80's and I was very fortunate to stand on the studio floor with Lisa Dal Bello, Shirley Eikhard, Kieth Hampshire, Doug Riley, and so many more talented singers and musicians I would fill this page. I learned so much from the producers of those sessions. But more than the place where I began my music pursuit, it is also the place I was born. I began singing in the choir at Kingston Road United at the age of 7 and spent much of my childhood on the famous Toronto boardwalk and on the beach. As a result, I have always been drawn to the water's edge. I now make my home in BC. During my trip I got to sit in at Club 120 and jam with my friends, I went to The Orbit Room to hear Lou Poumanti's band "Oakland Stroke" the best of Tower of Power. I got to see the very talented Dawn Pemberton at The Horseshoe performing with "The Harpoonists and The Axe Murderer" where they tore it up* I only had 7 days this time, but filled it with time spent with old friends and of course, family* I missed everyone so much. It was so good to walk the sand in The Beaches again. Here's hoping it won't be quite so long before I get to go home again. Time to write some songs and get back to singing. If you see a gig posting here on Reverb, please come down and say hi*

Dear fans

Dear Fans, Thank you for visiting my page here on Reverbnation and for your continuing support. It's been a very long road and your response to my music has been heart warming and greatly appreciated. It has been difficult in recent months to continue performing due to challenges at home with family and health. It warms my heart to recieve notice from Reverbnation that you are listening to my songs and I hope one day soon to be back on stage again or in the studio producing my next CD. Until then God Bless you all for taking the time to visit, read and listen. Thank you for sharing my information and for brightening my days.
