SwampDaWamp Southern-born, country-fried American rockers SwampDaWamp deliver their signature range of infectious styles of country, rock and blues. They’ve shared the stage with the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, George Thorogood, .38 Special, The Marshall Tucker Band and Shooter Jennings.
SwampDaWamp’s 4th release, “Short Stories From A Long Road,” the much anticipated follow- up to their 2009 “Rock This Country,” will be released nationally this fall. The album is co- produced by Gig Michaels and David Lee, along with Keith Gattis (Dwight Yoakam) and Pat Buchanan (Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins). Guest appearances include among others, Audley Freed (Black Crows, Dixie Chicks), Pat Buchanan, Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Keith Gattis, John Henry Trinko (Randy Houser) and Robert Kearns (Lynyrd Skynyrd).
Kara Clark Old Country style lyricist and rocker Kara Clark is best described by one of her fans as “a twisted orgy of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Janis Joplin, and Guns & Roses.” Her West Virginia storytelling style and unique swampy, rock sound weave a tapestry of troubled times, hidden passion, haunting ghosts, hope, hypocrisy, empowerment, and the gritty, gut-checkin’ truth.
Kara Clark’s second album “Southern Hospitality,” out this fall, is co-produced by Kara and Kenny Olson (Kid Rock, Experience Hendrix, Les Paul & Friends) and engineered by Mark Lambert (Leon Russell, Ronnie Milsap) along with Toby Wright (Metallica, Alice in Chains). Joining her in the studio are Dave McAfee (Jamey Johnson, Toby Keith), Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Eerie Von (Danzig), Kenny Olson and 14-time Grammy, CMA, and ACM award-winner Brent Mason, to name a few.
Kara Clark and members of SwampDaWamp are available for interviews and acoustic radio performances.

July 28, 2011, Louisville, KY --Nashville Alt-Country/Rock artist, Kara Clark will be performing at Uncle Slayton’s on Thursday, August 18th, with guest performance by Louisville’s own Scott Mertz. With influences as varied as Hank III to Shelby Lynne to Uncle Tupelo, Kara Clark was once described by a fan as "a twisted orgy of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Janis Joplin, and Guns and Roses." Edwin McCain says, "Kara Clark brings a new soulful energy to music. Her style and talent is just what country music needs." Unconventional and unconstrained by others’ opinions, Kara Clark refuses to try to fit a mold. "...People love me for who I am," says Clark, "I've been an indie all my life!" The raven-haired, tattooed beauty is someone who is in full control of her music, and when her tough brand of alt-country takes the stage, people listen. She has an attention-grabbing voice and the character to back it up, while her West Virginia storytelling style delivers by weaving together elements of troubled times, hidden passion, haunting ghosts, hypocrisy, empowerment and the gritty, storied truth. Kara Clark's first album, Sinnin' was released in early 2010 and has her fans wanting more. Between southeast tour dates this summer, Kara will be in the studio with Kenny Olson (Kid Rock) producing her next project, "Southern Hospitality" due out this fall. Toby Wright (Alice in Chains, Metallica, Sevendust, Korn) is acting as an engineering consultant. "I think people are ready to hear a different type of country music," says Clark. We couldn't agree with her more. Joining Kara will be Louisville’s own Scott Mertz, perhaps better known as the Front Man and principle songwriter for "Cornbread Mafia" and "Your News Vehicles." Mertz mixes up his own Southern-style corruption of Americana rock, roots, blues and funk with songs such as “Dirty White Boy” and “You Wish.” His song writing and solo material has been described as "Waylon Jennings meets Beck...and Whoops his ASS!"
