Ashes For Trees / Blog

craigslist post

I think Craigslist is great. I've been meaning to post on there for a while and finally did tonight. And now, without further ado (sp)..... our first Craigslist posts:

Hey there

Ashes for Trees is looking to add members. We're particularly interested in bassists right now, but if you play something else and are interested please feel free to drop a line too.

We practice in Wilkes-Barre at our drummer's apartment at least twice a week.

Ashes for Trees is a folk-rock original band but we do have some covers in our setlist. (Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Prine, Ani Difranco, etc) On occassion we like to jam or get a bit heavier.

Conrad and I (Katie) are very dedicated to our music and bear all of the financial and creative responsibilities at this point. We realize it's a lot to ask someone to invest the same that we have, so it's okay if you just want to come and play and relax about all the complicated stuff. But hey, if things go really well and you're on board for more, then that's cool too.

If you'd like to check out our music either go to www.myspace.com/ashesfortrees or drop us a line and we can email you our (6 song) demo.

We gig at least once a month, but we are by no means getting rich off it. We simply love playing. If success hits, we'd be willing to travel for shows and hope that you'd be too.

Please send us an email for more information. :-D Thanks -Katie

------------- Ashes for Trees is a folk-rock band that currently operates as an acoustic duo. While we are typically an original band, we incorporate covers into our setlist. (Artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Prine, Ani Difranco, etc)

We're looking to get some gigs in the area bar scene. We've been playing coffee houses, all ages clubs and book stores. (Which we still love of course)

Our music has been played on local college radio stations and several online podcasts.

Rock bands are great and a great time but there are times when an acoustic duo can really entertain too. :-) We also like playing during the week and especially Happy Hour.

Music is available online at http://www.myspace.com/ashesfortrees or if you'd like to send us an email we can send you mp3's of our full (6 song) demo.

Please drop us a line

Thanks -Katie
