Barnacle / Blog
Thank you for all of the support you have given to us throughout the years and for voting for us for Motif Magazine. Our next performances will be either solo gigs or duets. Mary and Everett will be performing a wedding at the St. Anne's Arts and Cultural Center. Everett will be appearing solo with Jon Campbell on the Thursday night of the Mystic Sea Music Festival Everett Brown, Alan Bradbury, and Mary Audette will be providing an evening of traditional Christmas music on December 6 at the Henry Lippitt House in Providence. Hopefully, there will be more gigs to follow. Again, thank you for your support.
All Good Things Must Come to An End
Barnacle, as we have known it, will cease to exist. Due to juggling work concerns and family concerns and a host of other reasons, our last ever concert will probably be December 6. We've had a good run and if you really enjoy us, please again vote for us in the Motif Music Awards so we can go out on a final high note.
Tim, Everett, and Mary will continue to work separately and sometimes collectively (As a matter of fact, you will be able to see Everett as an accompanist at the Mystic Seaport Sea Music Festival 2013 but not as a member of Barnacle) but as Barnacle we will be no more.
We were proud to be represented by our beloved bones player, Tim Reilly, in the Mystic Irish Parde on Sunday and proud to have our members play on St. Pat's Day at Kelley's Deli in Westerly, Rhode Island. There are a few upcoming wedding gigs and we'll see what else develops.
This is the link whereby you can vote for us. Please, please, please vote for us. We have been nominated in two categories this year by Motif Magazine: Celtic and folk. Please allow us to win for 2013.
Motif Music Awards 2013

St. Pat's Day
Hope to post soon about a possible local gig.
Our next major gig is at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, for the National Association of College Food Service convention. During this concert we are excited to be performing with the incomparable fiddler and box player Jack Wright
AAA HORIZONS JUNE 2012
We were surprised to see our picture in AAA Horizons under top ten triptiks. http://www.aaahorizons.com/content.cfm?a=1069
Our next engagement will be the Cape Cod Maritime Festival. We will be on stage at Aselton Park around 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. We will be one band of MANY to perform throughout the weekend. Come take a listen, take in a tall ship, go for a day sail, visitor demonstrations and vendors.
A Gathering of Fiddlers and Fishermen
