PETER KARP & SUE FOLEY CD #1 ON BLUES RADIO CHARTS!
"Beyond The Crossroads", the latest collaboration between acclaimed singer-songwriter guitarists Peter Karp and Sue Foley, is #1 on the Roots Music Report's Blues chart, which means it's the most-played album on blues radio.
The CD's also number 1 on XM/Sirius' satellite blues channel, "B.B. King's Bluesville," climbing to the top of the chart because of the large number of listener requests. The album is also enjoying strong support at Americana and Triple A stations. In total, more than 360 radio stations are reporting airplay.
Critics have lauded the release as well. Hittin' The Note said, "'Beyond the Crossroads' is just that, the blues transmitted, and wonderfully. Every place this album bounces to, the vibes are good. Highly recommended to give a lift," while Living Blues offered, "As all of the songs demonstrate, great songwriting is even better with great musicianship... an inventive and buoyant collection of quality songs with great blues feeling."
In a statement, Peter and Sue said, "We're thrilled that Blues and Roots radio has embraced "Beyond The Crossroads". We've been having a ball touring all over the world and are so grateful for all the opportunities we've had playing for fans old and new. Hats off to Blind Pig Records, our management, agents and our fine band for making us #1 again." And, in a nod to the annual Blues Music Awards show, they added, "Hope to see you all in Memphis!"
