I wore my heart on my sleeve on this one, like I tend to do in my music. My music is like therapy for me... it keeps me sane... it keeps me focused. When Luda dropped that CD entitled "Release Therapy", I felt brotherly connection cuz as stated, this keeps a few people "un"strangled, lol. (But I digress...) Through the years I've had some down chicks on the team. They lavished me... mind, body, soul, and spirit. An intense connection that was deep & genuine.... and this track reminds me of how I felt moments b4 we reached that level of deep connection. When I heard this track (produced by one the "best slept-on" producers in the independent scene "Soleternity") a song that I barely started immediately popped in my head. I went into my rhyme vault and low & behold, the lyrics danced with the beat like lost lovers reunited. But yeeeaah, this song is what I feel goes on in the heads of a real man, once he's encountered a real lady... that initial infatuation... the moment when u actually consider puttin' lil momma on speed dial cuz she is on the verge of being a priority in your life. The kind of woman that makes u wanna put the toys away & do grown-man things... escrow, 401k's, pinks slips & mutual funds... walk down that aisle, ya dig... On the flipside, this kinda represents that moment when she lets u kno that the feelings mutual, "...don't hit me up, jus' come thru!". She lett'n u kno that it's guud... alllllready, but @ the same time she a lil aprehensive cuz she recognize game & don't wanna get hurt by a possible player... all to which a man can sense that hurt & has to reassure her that if she lets her guard down, she won't get stabbed in the heart. To alleviate that i'm like, "I can see it in yo eyes u wanna ride/but the pain u have inside got u questioning the vibe" In essence, it's sayin' "I'm really dig'n u, I wanna take this further and see where this thang go. I hope this gives u a better understanding and appreciation of the song. Holla back and lemme kno wut u think. 4ever blessed, 4ever grateful, -ROCKWELL
