Grateful Dead Night at The Potomac Grill

Saturday, November 5, 2011, we are back at The Potomac Grill in Rockville for our final show there this year. The food is great, so come early for dinner and stay for the show. Reservations strongly advised. Call (301) 738-8181.

Grateful Dead - U. Of Minnesota 1971-10-19

October 19, 1971. Keith's first show with the Dead. Also an epic night of premiere performances; this was the first time live performance for the following now-classic tunes: Tennessee Jed, Jack Straw, Mexicali Blues, Comes A Time, One More Saturday Night, and Ramble On Rose. Also of note: although this is not the first show without Mickey (contrary to what one reviewer has posted - Mickey left in February 1971), it is a fine example of what they could do with just Billy on drums. (Also of note, Lloyd's bar mitzvah occurred just three days prior to this show. That's why he couldn't make it.) Enjoy the link. See you Saturday.
