I have rediscovered that is it truly NEVER too late to learn new things. In fact, learning and growth is what I crave the most!
my favourite quote is by the poet Rumi, and it goes like this: " Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it". If it is happiness you seek, replace the word "love" for "happiness". If it is adventure, prosperity, ecetera, try this. See what happens.... :)
i am finally conceeding to the fact that there are indeed no shortcuts in life, not pertaining to anything important anyway! you put in your 10,000 hours, you are guaranteed to succeed. i'm at about 3,216 hours. not a bad place to be!
regarding my goals, a person i trust said to me today that it is more important to focus on the end result, rather than focus too much on the step-by-step of everyday. i thought this went against everything i had been taught. most of us are taught to prepare, to plan every detail, to stick to the plan. but her retort was simple. "if you focus too much on sticking to your plan, you could miss opportunities flying at you, but you won't see them because you will be too focused on your plan! your plan should be subject to change based on the offerings that come towards you!" simple words from a very wise woman...
