A beautiful samba in 3! :) The video was filmed and directed by the awesomely talented Wes Goodlife of Kiss Kiss Goodnight Productions. Be sure to check out kisskissgoodnight.com to see more of his work! We will be posting the video as soon as it is available to us, so stay tuned!

We also have a show coming up in a couple weeks at FICA Studios on JULY 23RD!!! Save the date! If you aren't on our email list yet be sure to get on there so that you can receive all the information about our shows!

Your version of Cravo e Canela on your CD is WONDERFUL! Milton would be proud of you (wonder if he's heard it?). One of my favorites! Glad u chose it for your video. Look fwd to seeing it. You guys have a great sound, like direct from Brasil! Mikaela has a beautiful voice. Keys, rhythm, etc. all kick butt. The steel pans and accordian are nice adds on your CD. I discovered you thru CDBaby.

Upcoming Stuff!

Hey everyone! We have been really busy (as always! :)) This weekend alone we have had three shows! All of them SPECTACULAR!

We are very excited to start working on new original music and also a bran spankin' new music video featuring a song from our CD "Brazilian Songbird." Which one? Well you are just going to have to find out! :) Filming for it will start in July. We will keep you all updated!

As far as new music goes, we have a very large goal of adding quite a large range of different Brazilian and Latin rhythms to our repertoire. In the past we have done mostly covers of our favorite Brazilian tunes, but now we are dedicated to bringing you the true fruits of our inspirations. So be on the look our for some new original Sambatuque music.

Oh! And don't forget to tell a friend to tell a friend about Sambatuque! :)

Sambatuque! is BACK!

Happy to announce that after a 6 month hiatus due to our singer up and moving to Florida. She ended up hating it there and came back to home to us! So we are so excited about this that the band is having a reunion show at Cafe Solstice in the U-District. If you love the intoxicating melodies and heartbeat pounding rhythms of Sambatuque, we HIGHLY suggest that you be there. We always bring a party with us and are eager to share the experience with you all! Guest dancer, Dora Oliveira, from Bahia will also be featured!

Aside from us have a kick-booty show coming up, we also have been working on new and original material and are discussing which songs we would like to feature on our next album. We even have a title worked out that we are sure you all will love... But we can't say what it is JUST yet! ;)

Lastly, we want to announce a new addition to the Sambatuque Family. We recently hired a manager, radio host Sharon Stevens!!! We are so lucky to be able to have her working with us to bring our passion to the world. This is someone who really digs what we do and is very excited to be on our team, which is always fantastic! Big round of applause to her!

Don't forget about the reunion show! See you there! Abracos GALERA!
