There has been some recent speculation about Tenek and the current situation with our label Toffeetones which we felt needed clarifying. Both band and label have decided to part ways amicably and with mutual consent. Having spent nearly 4 years working together it was felt that we'd taken things as far as we could. We are very grateful to label founder Matt Gunn who originally signed us in 2008 and current owner Shaun Brooks for their support and encouragement and wish them both the best for the future. We are all very positive and look forward to working on our 3rd album. Our back catalogue will still be available from all the current outlets including the Toffeetones online shop which can be found here :

It's been quite a long time since we did an update on here so it's rather overdue with all that's been going on!
Firstly our new album 'On The Wire' was released on Monday 6th September and is available from most large download stores such as Amazon and i-tunes. We've just got back from a fantastic 9 date tour in Germany and Poland with Iris and De/Vision. We had an excellent time and made many new friends. We look forward to going back soon!
Our next live show is with the newly reformed Republica on Wednesday 13th October at the O2 Academy in Islington, London. We've also done a remix for them which will hopefully be released soon along with other new material they've been working on. We are doing an exclusive show on the 21st August at The Albert in Brighton to launch the forthcoming album 'On The Wire'. The official release date for the album will be early September but anyone coming along to the show will be able to purchase the album 2 weeks before release. There will only be 50 available on the night so you'll need to be quick as we anticipate them selling quickly!
Supporting us are the excellent Analog Angel from Glasgow plus DJ Digitalis will be playing tunes in between and after the bands.

Hello,
It's been quite a while since our last blog and it's fair to say that it's a very busy time for us all here at tenek HQ.
Firstly we spent 9 fantastic days on tour with De/Vision on the German leg of their POPGEFAHR tour from the 7th to the 15th May. We played 8 shows and it really was quite an experience for us culminating in fantastic last show in Berlin at the Columbia Club. We'd like to say a huge thanks to Steffen, Thomas, Michael, Rene, Bjorn, Jan and Peter for making it so much fun. We had the Berlin show filmed so look out for some very good quality clips appearing on YouTube soon. We also came onstage during the encores with De/Vision to perform their track 'Flavour Of The Week' which was a great honour for us and it was quite something to look out into the crowd and see 900 people really going for it!
Dave Charles also came out to Berlin and recorded an interview with us which was broadcast last Sunday on his excellent HFM radio show.
We will be releasing a single from the forthcoming album 'On The Wire' in early July and this will be the track 'Blinded By You' which has featured in recent live shows. The track has been remixed by Shaun Brooks and sounds fantastic. We've also written a brand new track for the single called 'Synchronise' which will not be on the album. More news on the single and where you can buy it very soon.
Work continues on the album and we are very pleased with the progress. Intensive studio sessions throughout June should see the album completed with a projected release of early September. The artwork is currently being worked on and it's safe to say that it is going to be stunning.
We will also be announcing some new dates for September in the near future including shows in Germany & Poland with De/Vision and Iris. Really looking forward to going back! There will also be several UK dates during late September including a London show on the 25th.

We've been on ReverbNation for a while now so I thought it was time that we did a blog to update you about what we've been up to.
As most of you know, we've been in the studio for a long time working on the new album which is really shaping up nicely. It is hoped that there will be at least 11 brand new songs and the projected release date for the album is late August. We have to complete the final mixes by late June so the tracks can be compiled and mastered. The artwork is currently being worked on and will feature some of the brilliant photography of Ed Fielding. There will be a single before the album is released, more news on this soon.
We are also preparing for our tour with De/Vision next month which we are both really looking forward to. These will be our last gigs until the album has been completed.
We'd like to say a big thanks to everyone who came down to see us at Bedsitland in London on Saturday. We had a great night and it was extremely encouraging to see how well the new material was received. People travelled a long way to come and see us and we both really appreciate that.
There will be more news and blogs from us the coming months as so much is happening!
