To celebrate today’s release of their Prosthetic debut (and third overall full-length) “Exilium,” Iberian extreme black/death metallists NOCTEM have released a striking new music video for the epic track “The Adamantine Doors.” “This will be the most ceremonial video of the band,” states guitarist Exo, “as it’s classic in the history of NOCTEM to be riddled with occult and dark symbology that characterizes us. This time, we used more elaborate means and a story that won’t leave anyone indifferent.” Filmed last month in Valencia, Spain with director Henry Menacho, who previously worked with the band on the shocking NSFW video for “Eidolon,” and written by vocalist Beleth, the video can be seen below. Grab a seat, dim the lights and take a peek behind “The Adamantine Doors”! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsNQonZdRNM After you watch the above music video, you can also take a listen to the orchestral version of “The Adamantine Doors,” featured as an exclusive bonus track on the Prosthetic edition of “Exilium,” streaming at DecibelMagazine.com or via Soundcloud. Hailed as NOCTEM‘s best effort to date, “Exilium” was produced with Daniel Cardoso (Anathema) and has been hailed for ”merging the relentless brutality of bands like Behemoth and Belphegor and the melodies and atmosphere of bands like Dimmu Borgir and Septicflesh” (Dead Rhetoric). Scheduled for release next week in the U.S. and Australia, “Exilium,” the third album from Iberian blackened extreme metallists NOCTEM, is “a must-have for any fan of the genre” (Metal-Temple)! Produced by Anathema’s Daniel Cardoso (Angelus Apatrida, Ava Inferi), “Exilium” features 12 addictive songs including two previously unreleased bonus tracks! Today, the bonus track ”Divine Xib’alb’a” makes its world premiere. Check it out now by heading over to NoCleanSinging.com – who calls the song ”a short slashing assault of ripping riffs, militaristic percussion, and utterly bestial growls, and the kind of high-speed conflagration that burns through much of the album as a whole” – or watch it below! Pre-order bundles at the PROSTHETIC webshop here: http://store.prostheticrecords.com/bands/noctem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfFuHiDUDbs NOCTEM has also confirmed a series of European tour dates with Taake and Valkyrja. They hope to make their North American live debut in 2015.
Extreme blackened death Spaniards NOCTEM prove the adage “third time’s a charm” as they present their tertiary album “Exilium” through Prosthetic Records on Sept. 16 in North America. Lauded as “a stunning, full and complex album that is a must-have for any fan of the genre” (Metal Temple), “Exilium” knows no boundaries as it stretches the band’s limits to a whole new level. The record has been hailed as the band’s best effort to date from several notable press outlets (Metal Hammer, Rockzone, Metalbite), while No Clean Singing dubs it “an album forged by experts at their craft who knew exactly how to kick out music of fury, fire and war.” Although the group originally formed in 2001, it wasn’t until 2008 that NOCTEM caught the attention of Australian label Noisehead Records, who released their debut LP “Divinity” — featuring collaborations with Christos Antoniou (Septicflesh) and Leal (ex-Forever Slave) — throughout Europe. Shortly thereafter, they struck a distribution deal for the U.S. with Relapse and cracked the Spanish Top 20. Following national tours supporting acclaimed bands such as Hate, Incantation and Ragnaraok in addition to festival appearances alongside Napalm Death, Malevolent Creation and Vomitory, NOCTEM made their way to Ultrasound Studios 2 in Portugal to record their highly acclaimed follow-up “Oblivion” with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anathema). Released via Rising Records throughout Europe while being licensed via Metal Blade in North America, the album received near-perfect ratings from critics worldwide. The group spread their explosive blend of blackened extreme metal on treks across Europe with Samael, Melechesh, Keep of Kalessin, Marduk, Enthroned and Immolation. Having once again worked with Cardoso to produce and master their latest offering “Exilium,” NOCTEM will now set their sights on dominating the extreme metal scene throughout North America with the help of Prosthetic Records, which will release the album with two bonus tracks.
