Veilside is proud to announce that we have finally settled on a new guitarist - Mo Ismail! Mo got up to speed very quickly and was ready for his first show - the St. Patty's Day bash at Shark City and followed that up with a trip back to Michigan to play Planet Rock (Battle Creek) and Uli's Haus of Rock (Lansing) Shortly after, we played with our first national act of the year - Jack Russell's Great White to a packed house at Tailgaters! Veilside also raised just under $9000 for the Autism Society of Illinois with their 4th annual "Breaking the Silence" benefit show.
The summer stays just as hot....Veilside returns to Durty Nellies, followed by our first trip to Bar 3 in Rockford, and our first ever show at Blarney Island on July 7th! Then, what could be one of the best shows of the year on July 14th....Veilside takes the stage with Trixter, Warrant, and Skid Row! There are also not one, but TWO trips to Great America this year - one to play the Mardi Gras party on Jun 23rd and one to play Autism Awareness Day on July 29th. Sat July 30th, VEILSIDE will be playing several sets throughout the day at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. We're working with the Illinois Autism Society, so if you go to Six Flags' website and type in "AUTISM" you can get discount tickets for just $27!!
We also just won 95.1 WIIL Rock's Bandemonium competition!! So we're going to be playing Shadow Hill Ranch in Twin Lakes, WI for the concert event of the year!! Sharing the stage with - Alter Bridge, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder, SOIL, Crossfade, Adelita's Way, Halestorm, Crossfade, Local H, Candlebox, and MUCH MORE!!
