whirlwhind

the past 12 years i've resided in nashville have been a whirlwhind to say the least. i have been beaten down in the music industry by producers making promises they couldn't keep and yet i never quit. music is a part of my soul. it is something almost necessary in order for me to breathe. when i finally decided to give up all of my extra jobs i was doing to make ends meet and take a leap of faith and be a full time musician, that is when it really started to get good! with my husband's support and faith in my art (singing, recording, song writing, producing, vocal coaching and performing) i went full force. i just finished producing and writing for 2 amazing projects, one is ally rhodes and the other is danielle bollinger. ally is a teenage youtube sensation and i met her through my fried kellie hopkins who wanted to bring ally here to pursue her music dreams. ally signed to my publishing company (with SESAC's approval) and we have been working hard ever since. you can now see and hear the fruits of our labor at www.allyrhodesmusic.com. Danielle is a good friend of mine that left Nashville for a record deal a few years ago in dance music. She called me out of the blue one day and said, "I want to do a country album". We wrote together with some stellar Nashville cats and voila! You can check her out at www.daniellebollingermusic.com. The amazing part of this journey has been the people behind it - Steve Werbelow (he produced my "Lost Your Mind" album) - he produced both of these projects with me and got exactly what we were looking for in the sound and over all feel. My husband (my other half) did the photography, websites, flyers, media, you name it, he has been just as much a part of this as any of us. Megan Neyer - my intern from Belmont - I could not and would not be able to do everything I do without her help! She is truly a gift from God! Stephanie Womack for make up, all of Ally's and Danielle's fans, I mean the list just goes on and on. I haven't had any time to work on my own project this year - but my time is coming - I am ENJOYING the sounds of the artists I've worked with and looking at their success grow. I will start working back on my new EP as soon as I know Danielle and Ally have everything they need from me. I think working with other artists has helped me grow as an artist, as a person and as a musician. I believe in Danielle and Ally because they are beautiful (on the inside and out), talented, smart and gifted. Thanks for letting me share this with you =)
