Mike Branch Band / Blog

Basic Houskeeping Test, v.1

The Mike Branch Band plays a smoldering combination of bombastic blues and rock and a smattering of original rockin' tunes as well.

Amongst our collective members we bring over 100 years of professional experience to your club or event. We come neatly equipped with a full PA system and are ready to turn your dance floor into the place to be on any given night.

The Mike Branch Band consists of Rojer Blaine on bass, Lon Klugman on drums, Jeff Parrish on vocals and Mike Branch on guitar.

Mike Branch - Guitar

Quote: “I’ve been playing guitar for 40 years and I can still make one sound just as bad as another” Truthfully, the straits might not be quite that dire. Thankfully.

Mike cites the following 3 main influences (out of a host of influences) as having the most impact on his playing style: Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. Jim Mesi of local legend fame. Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top.

As a diehard Les Paul & Marshall Amplification guy, BOMBASTIC would best describe Mike’s style.

Jeff Parrish - Vocals

Jeff and Mike’s musical experience with each other goes back in excess of 25 years. Mike says the best parts about working with Jeff are that; he can sing anything, he’s an excellent and experienced front man and he’s the only guy Mike knows that can actually “out-sweat” him on stage.

If Jeff is playing live you can rest assured that he’s workin’/playin’. Hard.

Rojer Blaine - Bass

Rojer is the new guy and naturally we abuse him accordingly. The nice thing about Rojer is; all he wants to do is play. Pretty simple really. And play he does. He’s the most excellent bass player for the Mike Branch Band and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

If Rojer can put up with continued abuse we expect he’ll be around for a long time.

Lon Klugman – Drums

Lon and Mike have been playing together longer than either of them can remember. But don't be alarmed by that; there's lots of stuff they can't remember.

Lon has been a lifelong musician and has worked in a variety of projects. He is holding down his 50% of the rhythm section in a most difinitive way.

When Lon isn't drumming he finds other ways to blow stuff up.
