June/July & more

This year is flying by! I'm loving all of the private parties and weddings. Does my heart good to see families celebrating together and damn they feed me well. :o) I have many things to offer for private events; from classy cocktail music to a full out wedding band. Even my jambands (Half Step & Jellyband) have landed 8 private events so far this year! Something for everyone :o)

...have a lot of exciting things coming up!

*Half Step* Will be recording a live performance video and interviews for Hotmix106.com which will be available in streaming format in the very near future! We are also excited to play at K.J. Farrell's again on June 25th fresh off of the heals of extremely exciting news: we have landed closing out the 1st Annual Grateful Dead Gear Expo at Mexicali in NJ!! This amazing 2 day event is in August and we will be on at 8pm on 8/21. Sweet!

*Jellyband* The powerful little band that could, can and will! July sees us at Alive at Five in Patchogue July 8th AND Great South Bay Music Festival on July 15th. Big gigs for only our 9th and 10th shows ever played, needless to say, there is a great buzz going around about our band of Bros!

*Bull Moose Party* BMP is also playing AA5 in Patchogue on 8/12 and We hope to debut a song written by our drummer Brian Gabriel. It's exciting to play original music...

*Me* ...and on that note, I am still woking on learning guitar and getting my original music out there to you. I'll have more news about that in the near future!!

April news

The month started out on a high the Half Step band is still feeling. 133 people paid to see our show on 4/2 at Vail Leavitt Music Hall. It was amazing and so far we have gotten no less than 6 videos shot at this show with more songs to come!! Team Half Step has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few months and the founding brothers' visions are starting to come to fruition. Our next public show is KJ Farrell's in Bellmore on 4/23. On Earth Day 4/22 I will be performing a 2 hour set with my ex-Reck/current Jellyband mate Kevin Griffin. We have been friends and bandmates for a while but this is our first crack at duo-dom. I am super excited for this event & chances are there will be a special guest or two joining us for some choice tunes. Eddie Rodriguez and I have successfully finished 2 tracks for his upcoming CD and are now working on a third. I'm so proud to be a part of his original latin music project. I'll keep you posted on this! Lot's of exciting things planned in the future months. 2011 has been bery, bery good to me! KIT

1st Blog everrrr

There are many exciting and new musical adventures planned this year. I was thinking some times announcing the gigs weekly might not be soon enough to get people psyched or even have been given proper notice. Besides I'm working on several projects and this might be a way to give new insight to those who are interested in my performances and many collaborations.

This week's project and latest godsend is having the opportunity to work with salsa & Spanish music singer/songwriter Eddie Rodriguez. He is currently recording tracks for his up and coming debut CD. I'm on board to lay down harmonies with him this week on at least one track and we're currently in talks for more! Let's see how this Friday's session goes. I am very excited for the challenge of studio work for I mostly record live shows.

Next week 3/19 is the next live outing. It will be at a new venue for us, Dark Horse Restaurant in Riverhead...us being myself and Tom San Filippo of Half Step, The Underdogs and Wide Awake fame! This place is gorgeous; has great food and a fun bar area for us to groove and lounge in. Tom and I are looking forward to this and our next few shows in Riverhead in the upcoming month. The biggest being: Vail Leavitt Music Hall on 4/2 when Half Step hosts a Rex foundation benefit!! A night of GD music for a very good cause. Pre-sale tickets are available online here: http://halfstepgd.ticketleap.com/rex-musical-caravan-featuring-half-step-grateful-dead-tribute/

More details soon but that's all for now! I'll try to blog every week and of course feel free to ask me questions if you have any. Have a great week y'all!

Peace, love & music, Cindy
