The Slants and Lady Gaga

It's been a while since we've written a blog on here. 2 months to be exact. Wel, most of our news are delivered via monthly newsletter now, so if you want in on that action, please sign up at http://theslants.fanbridge.com

I wanted to get a message out to try and get YOUR help. You see, in 2009 we were in the running for the Portland Music Awards. Like Lady Gaga, we broke records and received more nominations than any other band in its short history. The 2011 Awards are going to take place again...and not only are we eligible for more categories, but we'll be performing at the show with 80's legend Tommy Tutone!

This is where you come in.

The nominations are open right now and we need your help to make sure The Slants get more nominations (and once voting begins, wins) awards than ever! This year, you can send a message to the Awards that yes, an all-Asian, anime con playing, face-melting band can rock the system in the following categories:

Best Album (Indie)- The Slants: Pageantry Best New Artist - The Slants Best New Band (Indie) - The Slants Outstanding Achievement in Rock - The Slants Best Live Performance - The Slants

You can also vote for our friends who have appeared on our album too like Krista Herring (Best Female) and Mic Crenshaw (Best Male).

Nominations are allowed once per IP address (computer), so get creative! Vote at home, school, or work. Tell your friends to help you!
