Raising funds for my new album through Kickstart!
I wanted to let you know I am about 1/2 way into recording my new CD... it's going really well. Lot's of flamenco and gypsy guitar mixed with my Americana roots. It kind of reminds me of Flamenco and American folk mixed together. Can't wait to get this out to you.
So I'm starting a Kickstart campaign to help raise funds for the mastering and pressing of the new CD. I'm doing this all through Kickstart.com. What's cool about it is you can set your donation for certain rewards... and if you donate, you will be rewarded. Home Recordings, 2 albums and one for free!
Most of the songs here and on my website are home recordings. The good news I'm still working hard in the studio. Problem is, I have so many tunes, I'm going to have to make 2 albums. So in July, 2011, I will be releasing a 5 song album for download only. The second album will be released on August 12th, 2011.
What's also cool about this is the two albums will have two totally different vibes. The first 5 song album has a much softer, folkier vibe. Ballads galore. The second album, which will have atleast 11 songs, delves more into my gypsy jazz rhythms, flamenco and pop roots, and will have much more instrumentation.
So that's whats going on with that. Keep in touch for more. If yo u sign up on the mailing list the first album will be yours to download for free. Yea, thats right first CD FREE if your on the mailing list. I'll send everyone code when it's ready.

New Website and New Songs!
Hey friends,
My new website launched today! www.ryanflahertymusic.com . I'm super excited. I will continue to update it everyday, water it and watch it grow :) Please check it out. I have videos and new music posted. There is also a Like button on every page for Facebook, so please click if you enjoy what you see.
Today marks my 4th day in the Studio at NH TUNES. It went so well. Upright bassist Steve Organek laid down some killer tracks for the upcoming CD. He is so talented. I keep finding out more and more about this fellow. He not only plays bass, but also a mean blues picking guitar, cello and violin. We might just have to get him to bust out the other instruments as well. And speaking of the studio... if you are in New Hampshire looking for a great place to record, check out NH TUNES... So I still have about 5 songs left to record, and then we will start the mixing and mastering. BUt I couldn't help but post some of the tunes here and on my website. Lot's of you have been asking to hear something... so now you can! My favorite right now is "This Way" but lot's of folks have taken a liking to Raven Cusp and Lightning. I think you will find there is something for everyone on the upcoming album.
