Greetings to all of my Reverbnation fans, after taking a break from the music biz for almost 2 years to focus my efforts on a critical family situtation, it's good to finally be getting "Back On The Grind". During that time, I managed to release my 2nd album titled "Back On The Grind", which was released December of 2009. Unfourtunally due to the critical family situtation that took a great deal of my time, I was not able to promote the album fully. Fast forward to Sept 2010, and with this situtation fully behind me, I can now concentrate on promoting this album, and getting back on the "gigging circut", something that I sorely missed. Also I'm back in the studio writing and recording new material for a new CD/mp3 album (untiled as of yet) which I have slated for a release spring of 2011. This new album will feature the funky and grooving tracks that GMoney is becomming known for, however there will be a couple of tracks with some Brazilian jazz and Afro-Cuban grooves, and at least one track with a vocal arrangement. In addition and the biggest news yet from GMoney, is the new upcomming CD is to coincide with the debut of my new band called "The GMoney Project" as the "vehicle" to promote the new album and the previous 2 releases as well. 3 of the new tracks, "Slipping Into Da' Funk", "Island Breeze" and "Pacific Coast Drive" will be avaiable for the Labor Day weekend 2010 for a FREE download for all of my Reverbnation and Facebook fans. This free download will be for the Labor Day weekend ONLY. This will be a great opportunity for my fans to add some of my new music for 2010 to their collection, and a way to spread the word about the music from GMoney. In closing I just want to say, it's good to be "Back On The Grind". Peace and love to all of my fans !!
The long awated 2nd album from jazz-funk artist GMoney was released on Monday December 14th and is being distributed online on CD Baby (http://www.cdbaby.com/gmoneysounds). Back on the Grind is the "sophomore" album to the debut album "Just Kickin It" released in March of 2008. The album fuses grooving hip-hop, R&B, neo-soul, and dance rhythyms, and gets stirring with some melodic, but funky low end and cool, laid back and jazzy keyboard, piano and horn licks and phrases and you have a winning combination sure to please even the most die-hard musical palette. Following the successful launch of "Just Kickin It" the debut album from up-and-comming funk jazz artist GMoney, comes his "sophmore" release, "Back On The Grind". Set to launch in December of 2009, this new album brings with it, infectious, funky, and jazzy R&B laced groves, intertwined with Afro-Latin rhythyms, a little dancefloor "fire" balanced with a little smooth jazz mellowness. The music, weaves instrumentally through the highlights, trials and tribulations of the past year, one that saw the sudden loss of GMoney's younger sister Janine. Dedicated in her memory, both the entire album and the song "So Hard To Say Goodby" are a fitting memory to a well liked and loved woman. The new album will be distributed online thru CD Baby, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon.com, Hear Music, and other online retailers. Initinally being released as an mp3 download, the physical CD will be launched in Feb of 2010. In the comming weeks the links for the CD Baby launch in Dec will be posted here. Take a moment, and check out the infectious sounds of GMoney. One listen and you'll know you didn't go wrong.
