Hello new demo -

Check out Esther demo by T.B.A. This is pretty rough, but there are several things new that I'm trying with different degrees of success or failure! It did inspire one of my favorite graphics though!

Goodbye!

I'm no longer able to upload songs so I deleted every song I had on here! I'll leave a few photos and a video, other than that I'm done!

my sweet oblivion

When I was in my early 20's I began a relationship with depression, it was my drug, I was a addict and it was a rabbit hole that I would escape into to leave the world behind. I was trying to escape my own reality and deep pain by leaving reality and searching out deep pain. Like any drug of choice, my last fix was never enough and I always needed a newer high, or in my case a newer low, my sweet oblivion!

Let You Go!

While we were steeped in the recording of "To What End", I went to church and at the end of the service the pastor made a plea to the congregation they needed to forgive someone. Many people I may or may not have forgiven sprung to mind. This call to forgive really stuck with me throughout the day. Later that evening I went for a walk and low and behold I ran into a person I had not seen in almost two years. This man was a thorn in my side to say the least. So many things went through my mind after we went our own ways. All the old trespasses this person had done to me. It was all right there. I didn't need any prodding to bring all the unforgivness to mind. The next day I demoed some new music and the lyric's flowed so easily. "Let You Go" was born. When we recorded this song, producer Jeff McCullough and I, it was at the end of finishing "Taking Control". We were both very happy at how that track turned out! "Taking Control", was one of the few tracks that got away from us and we had to reign it back in. Once that was done we spent the rest of the day working on "Let you Go". I think I had written the song the day before and I was doing everything I could to hang on to the melody! Jeff got a phone call from someone who was deeply distressed, so I spent about 45 minutes going over the parts in the verse that were slipping away. Once we recorded the vocals Jeff was very inspired and came up with a very rocking drum track! He then rearranged the outro of the track. Oh I can’t forget the piano intro Jeff played. The melody and how it doves into the song really flowed nicely. It was like he channeled the music. It brought me back to a time in my life where I was dealing with several people who were hell bent to destroy me. No Rhyme or Reason. It was about a five year period, the depths of pain they brought me too! That piano part Jeff played was like a summation of it all. This was one of the most memorable days of recording "To What End". It all began with a call to forgive. This song is not about one person, but an amalgamation of many people in my life that I held in my secret prison. While the prison isn't empty yet, some trespasser’s got let go! Call it early furlough!
