Outdoor Festival season-Channel your inner Santana!

The summer months are just beginning and Chameleon has bookings all over Northern California. We had the pleasure a few weeks ago to open the Pilot Peak Winery concert series. This coming Memorial day weekend (Sunday-May 26th) we perform on the beautiful Naggiar Winery outdoor stage for a special event. Also announced, Chameleon will be performing at the Brownsville Mountain Music and Arts Festival on June 29th. The venue (Ponderosa Amphitheater) is a wonderful little gem featuring great shade-grassy hillsides and a large stage area. The festival features great music all day with vendors for art-food and refreshment Chameleon is supporting the second billing to headliner- The Miles Schon Band. Miles, is the son of legendary Santana and Journey guitarist Neil Schon, he is rapidly increasing his own reputation as a master player. We also have it on good authority that Miles will join us on stage for a tune or two. Great summer of music coming up--- get out there and support- Live music matters!

Entering the "Tribute" mainstream

Yes, we are reaching critical mass... creating a talented and working band is no easy task. Nearly 3 years of work, rehearsing, performing, and extensive marketing has taken 'Chameleon - The Santana Experience' to new and enthusiastic audiences in the greater SF Bay area and beyond. We are now being recognized as one of the "premier" groups in the Tribute genre. This also includes other highly popular acts such as Petty Theft (Tom Petty Tribute), Zepparella (Led Zeppelin), along with many others. There is a thriving circuit and demand for talented Tribute shows in live music venues. Groups such as Chameleon are able to draw fans of the original artists (Santana in our case), and perform the music with passion and authenticity. This is certainly a benefit for the fans of the particular music - not to mention at a fraction of the typical cost to see the original. All in all we are very blessed with the musicians we have, the dedication of our band, and the fans who continue to support us. Chameleon is a hot ticket now, and we'll be in a venue near you sometime soon - so come out and dance like no one's watching! Viva Chameleon!

Chameleon- Santana Experience

Now in its third year as a working band, Chameleon- The Santana Experience is earning rising popularity in the Greater San Francisco Bay area. Chameleon- The Santana Experience "'is gaining our fair share of interest from club owners and new fans"- comments band bassist and business manager, Larry Casserly. Additionally, it makes good financial sense for both fans of tribute groups and club owners. The fans can purchase a ticket to a specific tribute type show and enjoy their favorite music at a considerable discounted price. This thriving "tribute" circuit also includes other talented and popular bands such as Petty Theft (Tom Petty Tribute) The Unauthorized Rolling Stones and Zepparella (Led Zeppelin Tribute) to name a few. 'We have worked hard to make our show authentic and a powerful" quotes Casserly. For those that have experienced a Chameleon show, can attest this band is very close to the real deal. Chameleon will be headlining a show on Friday May 10th at Georges Nightclub in San Rafael. If you love the music of Carlos Santana, you will love this band! What makes you dance?

Performing the music of Santana properly, requires the signature soaring guitar-keyboard-Leslie organ- - AND a very skilled percussion and rhythm section. A comment from a recent concert attendee exclaimed "you guys are a rhythmic feast!" See you on the dance floor and thank you!

Chameleon updates!

This summer has been a very enjoyable period of growth and success for Chameleon. Having been chosen to perform at some of the great local venues and festival's that are part of our very supportive artistic and musical Nevada county has been a true blessing! Since our initial appearance at the Center for the Arts this past May, the band has been very appreciative of all the fans (new and old) who have supported our shows (Nevada County Fair, Thursday Night Market and others)! Without people to dance, appreciate and celebrate the music of Carlos Santana...what would be the point? We are also very excited that we will be taking our show to some new venues in the coming months. These include Pistol Pete's in Auburn CA, Bar of America in Truckee, Cozmic Cafe in Placerville to name a few. Another very exciting booking for us is the Manna Fest Event on Sunday Sept 11 at Gateway Park in Penn Valley. This day will be a "Free" event featuring some great local and out of town groups along with dance, fashion, food all to benefit a very worthy cause. Remember...this band is for hire! If you know of an individual who is in need of a skilled group of professional musicians to support any type event, have them contact our website. Chameleon will be on the move and on the rise in the months-year to come! Check our webpage for scheduled shows, please friend us on Facebook etc!!! Thank you- Thank you!
