Take the Mickey / Blog

Back on Track

Take the Mickey has successfully recovered from the loss of drummer Jake Erickson earlier this year. The band has hired Christopher Istas in his place and is currently solidifying material for their next release Pass the Sick Bag, Alice!, which is tentatively scheduled for May 2011. Additionally, TTM will be performing live shows regionally on a regular basis beginning in January. Keep an eye out for exciting promotions and events on the way soon.

Upcoming Album

As you may know, we have been diligently working on our album DNAML. Currently the project is very near completion and should be ready for release in March. DNAML will be released on a small quantity of limited edition 1 gigabyte USB drives. The drives cost $10 and contain the album, digital booklet, and Making DNAML featurette. A name-your-own-price downloadable copy, with lossless compression, will be made available online approximately one week after the physical release. We will provide more informational material as it becomes available.

Danke, Take the Mickey

Album Art

Peeps, Those of you with eyes may have noticed the new image used for our avatar. Graphic artist Gavin Ball has been kind enough to allowed us to use some of his art for our album! We are very grateful that our album, They Clean Up Nice, will feature his illustration of an anthropomorphic washing machine.
