I wanted to take a moment to say "Thanks to everyone who supported the Local Musician Showcase. Thanks to Bill for running sound for me. Thanks to the Herald Dispatch, Taylor Kuykendall, and the V Club and all the musicians and music fans that made the event possible."
My set spanned about 150 years of music-I started with traditional folk songs such as "Baby Let Me Follow You Down" and the old Irish traditional folk song "Whiskey In the Jar", transitioned into some old blues numbers like "Broke Down Engine" and ended my set by moving to more recent Americana and Rock music. Kind folks from the crowd told me they really dug my set and the songs I played after I completed my set. A wonderful time was had by all. Hope to see you all at the next gig. Peace & blessings, Mark www.myspace.com/marksmithandfriends www.marksmithmountainmusic.webs.com www.reverbnation.com/marksmithandfriends
