Yes, it is spring. It says so right there on the calendar! Doesn't look like it here in Northeast Ohio though. But I'm midway through the spring semester at Baldwin Wallace and I've got spring fever! I'm thinking about all the cool outdoor festivals that will be happening before too long. I'll be playing over at Dewey's cafe on April 26th which is also my birthday!
I just found out I'll be singing with my friend Anitakeys at this year's Hessler Street Fair! And I'll be at the Barking Spider on June14. That's all I know so far, hopefully I'll have some more fun shows lined up when the snow melts!
Happy Spring and I hope to see you soon!
Hello and Happy 2013!
I am writing to let you know that in just one week from tonight, I will have the pleasure of performing in a powerful, groundbreaking, compelling multi-media performance piece called "The World Above Us" at Cleveland Public Theatre as part of the Big Box Series. This "multi-media, rock and roll opera" features live music, dance, actors, film and art. The James Levin Theatre is located in Cleveland's Gordon Square Arts District, where there a variety of wonderful places to dine or enjoy coffee or beverages before or after the show. January 31, Feb 1 and Feb 2nd, 2013 Cleveland Public Theatre's Big Box Series James Levin Theatre 6415 Detroit Avenue Detroit Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44102 United States Tickets online at www.cptonline.org or by phone at 216-631-2727 ext. 501 "The World Above Us" follows three generations of women from the same family who share strange, otherworldly visions. Weaving together the past and the present, the seen and the unseen world, the story explores the themes of family, madness, love and desire. It's been quite an exciting year. I finished my first year back in college - learned a lot about myself in addition to Algebra and Accounting.
Wrote a song or two, finished a song or two that I've been writing for years.
Was fortunate to play some really cool gigs - with my girlfriend Anitakeys and by myself and now exploring new musical partnerships. Reunited with a childhood friend in beautiful Saranac Lake NY - a place I'd never seen...and discovering a whole new bunch of local music to love there.
Loved someone enough to set him free while we both figured some things out...and then coming back together with determination to try and get it right this time. More family moving nearer to me and making the acquaintance of family I never knew. Overall a very good year. I feel more like me than I ever have before and I'm looking forward to 2013 to continue doin the best I can to live life to the fullest. Thanks to everyone who keeps encouraging me to keep making music. I love you all. xoxo Quinn
Time to dig out my sweaters and boots. I had a wonderful summer, it was so nice to reconnect with some old friends, make some new ones and spend some quality time with my family. I'm back to school, but I'm also planning some groovy shows with my girlfriend Anitakeys AND I just booked some solo dates at the Barking Spider! I'll be in touch with details! xoxo Quinn
I just posted a new song called "I Don't Love You Too".
And what a great 4 months it's been. I finished my first semester at BW and now I'm even taking a few summer classes! The garden is in and I've booked a few shows over the next couple months. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer filled with music and love.
I'm back in school juggling full time work and school and it's inspiring me to write some new songs! I think I'll be recording before too long, and this summer look for me at Painesville's Party in the Park among other things! Peace, Love and Music Baby!
