Good morning everyone! Just a few things that I noticed over the weekend and really have noticed over a long period of time. In the local music scene, I have come to realize that you have to be on top of your game every single night! There is no room for laziness or lack of ability in reading your audience. In all my music career, I have prided myself on knowing every single song my group plays by heart. no need for music stands with lyrics, or electronic devices to provide lyrics. You simply cannot be involved with the audience or interact with your fellow band mates if you are staring down at sheet music the whole time. These are just some observations I have made over the years. No disrespect towards any of my fellow musicians, just some constructive criticism.. Have a good day and Merry Christmas!!
