Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
We as humans have limitations, we cannot be perfect in every way. We need not use our own ideals to tell someone else that they are not saved by divine grace. remember the sin is in the intent. If you are not committing an action for a sinful purpose then it is not a sinful act. Do not act lustfully for the things of this world. If you must lust, lust for Christ. It is okay to enjoy life and do all the things that life has to offer, however, some get carried away. Your main focus should be on the Father and what He wants, Jesus made this clear. You can enjoy parties and drink, and close relationships with other human beings, but NOTHING should come before God. If you read in the bible nearly all accounts when the word "drunkard" was mentioned it was a metaphor for the selfish nature of man. When you are a "drunkard" your life revolves around taking that next drink. Build your life around God, be a Christian that follows Christ's lead. Love all without judgement without contempt. Give them love and you will be amazed by the power of God.
Have you ever know a person who was so physically fit, that everywhere they went people ask them for tips on how to lead a healthier life. People will ask them about diet, exercise, even sleep patterns. Lets now think about this in terms of faith. If you work out your faith every day, you train it like an athlete. You will notice people looking at you more. they are trying to figure out how they can get like that. "Man, that guy walks with confidence." "Hey, she was really nice. How can i be more like that?" these are the thoughts of others as you walk by. When you are truly faithful its noticeable, your every mannerism changes. You start making more deliberate decisions. If you have faith in a positive out come you will think and live like a winner, you will ultimately create a positive lifestyle that will carry you through life's not so positive moments. God has promised you a blessing if you will be faithful. The faithfulness is just the training part of your blessing. You see brothers and sisters, we are not, out of the box, ready to receive our blessing. You could never catch all that God is gonna throw at you unless you go through boot camp. See being faithful is counter intuitive. If you get hungry you eat, you don't sit and wait for your stomach to magically fill up. On a regular basis we depend on ourselves to take care of all our own needs. We must start practicing faith. Faith is acting without proof. Faith is knowing you are gonna be okay in spite of all the evidence to prove otherwise. Instead of doing the wrong thing to make money, be faithful know God has a purpose for you. Know that when things happen that seem bad to us it is just time moving on and God's true plan unfolding. God didn't punish you, you have been punishing yourself. what you put into your life has an outcome on the fruit you bear. When your faithful the fruit is so much sweeter, the color is a little brighter, the fruit has doubled in size. Start living faithfully, and He will bless you faithfully.
God bless! sno-
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. It is important to recognize you are not responsible for your salvation. all too often we feel like salvation is something we are in control of, when salvation is a gift from our God who loves us. To act as if something that you done resulted in your salvation is to discount what God has done for you. Was His sacrifice for you not worthy of praise? Think of how often you even mention God. Has not our God paid much more attention to the details in our lives than we have paid Him? You go to church when ever the doors are open, ok. In your daily life what is it people see? Do you look out for others? Do you love like Jesus? Do you sacrifice like God? God wants us to be happy so we can relate His undying love to others. Please , christian brothers and sisters, love, not only other Christians, the whole world and reflect the light of Christ. Show them their salvation is in Christ.
God be with you!
In the rap game image is everything. We are first created in Gods image and then we adorn ourselves with gold, silver, fine clothing. So why do we want for beautiful things? Are we not pleased with what God has given us? from the very start the evil one has tempted us, told us that what God wants isn't enough. I'm here to say its plenty. I will say the ownership of nice stuff is not a sin, but to place the acquisition of these items above your reverence for God is Sinful.
