VAT increase - Pay/Benefit freeze!
Translation - the poor forced to pay more for their current lifestyles or cut back their already limited lifestyles even more, who can argue with that?
When is the government going to wake up and stop playing games with peoples' lives? All they seem to be focussed on is applying treatment to the symptoms of the problem without dealing with the root cause of the disease within society....money!
There is no long term sustainability in a money based economy on a planet with limited resources so why these continued attempts to fix it? What we need is real change like the kind of change put forward by The Venus project (www.thevenusproject.com). Eventually economic growth will be forced to a halt and then what? Will it need to come to point of civil warfare and indiscriminate violence before we look to make changes?
Money creates competition and what we need now as a race of people is collaboration. Our very survival will soon depend on it.
A little bit of intelligence, a little bit of foresight, is that too much to ask?

OK, so I’ve decided to shut down my Myspace, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Partly for personal reasons, partly as an experiment to see what level of success is achievable in the music industry without the big 3 social networks. I’ve already been told it’s career suicide and I must admit there is a blsck hole in my life now without the daily updates of messages, comments and friend requests coming in from these sites but I’m still holding it down with my choice…..Let’s see how long I can hold out!

It doesn’t take a high level of analytical skills to see that Politics the world over is in a broken state and has been for a very long time. There are undoubtedly many factors contributing to this but the most powerful is money.
As long as we live in a money-based system, profit will always be more important than people and we will continue to be bombarded by false promises from weak politicians with very little integrity.
The way I see it, the only way we can begin to believe in the word of a politician is if their work will not yield any personal financial benefit beyond the minimum wage that they claim that the rest of society should be able to survive on. Then and only then can we begin to have some faith that such a politician actually cares about the progress of their people, their country and their planet. Until then we will continue to be bombarded with fear mongering tactics that makes us feel inadequate if we don’t participate in this corporation–led political system.
“I Refuse to Vote………” is a campaign designed to challenge the current system and wake people up to their power as citizens of this world. It is not about demonstrations or marches or anything of that nature, but simply about non-participation in a broken system.

Up until this day, I purposely avoided getting caught up inthe hype of “The 1st Black President”. I didn’t want to be wrapped up in any superficial emotions of being a member of popular opinion and hype,but on this day, I felt it!
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to view the ceremony as I was onmy daily commute home from work but I was able to follow it live via the radioon my cell. At the moment Obama took the oath it hit me. I was overwhelmed,inspired and moved almost to tears while sitting on the upper deck of a ....London.... bus.
As President Obama Spoke, my emotions were amplified to a level almost impossible to contain….a broad smile took over my face, pride tookover my chest and love took over my soul.
The 44th President of the ....United States of America....renewed a sense of purpose to my life, a sense of duty to the pursuit of mydreams and a new respect for the meaning of Hope.
I now understand what it feels like to be a part of historyand am forever grateful that I was able to engage in the experience.
President Obama, I salute you…not because you’re a black man, but because you are a great man!!!!

Did a video shoot over the weekend for Cristyle's new track Dance With Me 2.0. I'm featuring on the track so got little moment to shine. Everything went well on the day, although we didn't the turnout we wanted. Looking forward to the finished product though.
The track is taken from The Midnie Walk Album (which you should check if you haven't already done so), although this version is a new mix.
