This Week- November 21, 2011

I'm currently waiting for my Mac laptop to get out of the shop, so I get working on my web-site. Once that gets done, I can get my newly remastered single, "Black Ball" up for all to hear at the same time as my site.

For now, until my laptop gets in, I'm working on getting more gigs for my CD release tour and preparing my music to send out to radio stations world-wide.

New Release

I've been saying on most of my sites for a few months now that I am releasing a new project in January 2012. I thought that I'd blog on it here, since I haven't blogged on Reverbnation for almost a year! :) The new album is full-length in the roots-rock/Americana genres.

I have never felt so proud of a project of mine. I've really worked hard at my songwriting for the past year and the hard work has paid off, at least in an artistic sense of well-being. Good music is what is #1 on my list for my career and I think that I have NO DOUBT succeeded in creating works of songwriting art. :) I did a lot of pondering, soul-searching and writing to find my niche in the Americana/Roots music fields. This time around the music is less rock and more roots and vibey- VERY vibey and atmospheric....

Anyway, I'm really excited! The album is going to be pitched to radio very soon. I'm also sending it to the replicators within the next week or so. I'm starting to fill up my gig calendar, some definite dates and some penciled in. I'm having my very first CD release party on January 7 and have the band hired out. I have a lot to do still, but things are beginning to come together very nicely.

About a few of my songs....

I have put a few new songs on here recently. They were recorded at Littleton Music Group Studios in Columbia, TN. Littleton is owned by Trey Gray, (former drummer of Brooks and Dunn, Jewel and Faith Hill,) and his childhood friends, brothers Mike and Neil Kyle. They are going to do my next project that I will be recording in the spring.

Busy

I've been busy lately with a musical I'm in. We have 5 more shows! It is called "A Year With Frog and Toad." I have to play 5 different characters in it, as well as sing and dance while doing it. But I love it! :)

I've also started a band with a couple of friends of mine. We have written one song so far. Then add on all of life's other responsibilities. But I'd rather be busy than have too much time on my hands.

Hopefully I can catch you at one of my shows. I'd love to talk with you there! :)
