We spent one night setting up an old macbook to record our practice, using Garageband. We ditched the idea shortly after. But enjoy!
I would like to welcome Scot to The Effies. He is great! Come to our next gig and give him a big welcome!
The gig at Luckeys on August 31st was great! Atomic Junkyard was great with only two guys! Hi-Fi Ramblers, great band! Man, I love that Flying V! I didn't break anything tonight except a sweat! A great night for a great cause! Our next gig is this coming Saturday in Crow!
The Elvis show at Luckey's was great! Except for the fact that I broke my guitar amp, I broke my favorite guitar cable, and I broke a string half way through my set. Luckily, I had a back up guitar cable, and the right tool to fix my amp enough to finish the show. I always carry an emergency kit of band needs just in case. I'm really glad it had what I needed that night, well except for a new guitar string. But I bought extra today!
Effie Fans! We are sharing the stage with one of the greatest living legends of our time! Please come down to Whiskey River Ranch in Springfield! Cost $15. It'll be a great show! Starts at 8pm. We play at 9pm. Wayne at 10pm.
The ones that love the music! The ones that love the culture! The ones that live it day to day! To all of you, its time to go out into the world and convert others! Bring one, bring all. April 27th, this Saturday is going to be a great show! CryBaby - the movie - themed event hosted by the Dropp Dedd Dollies! Lots of bands and shenanigans! Only at Goodfellas in Springfield!
Dan, our current drummer is leaving us. So here is an awesome opportunity for you! Looking for someone who can play standing up. Loves Rockabilly music. Has gear and transportation. Message us here or on our Facebook pages. All the best to Dan and his family!
Recording is hard. We are still a new band, learning songs. So City Train is done, for now. Recorded in The Rev's garage on an old MacBook using GarageBand. It's rough. But we all had fun! Hope you do too!
My new Gretsch White Falcon has been a handful. It's amazing how many mods I have to do to a guitar to get it gig ready. If I could just stand still and play softly! Nope! Not here! This is Rock 'n Roll! Not Bing Crosby!
