"I was searching for people who delivered something a bit uncommon today in music, positive lyrics. I applaud them for the ability to focus on something positive and doubling as delivering it in a musical way as well. Where some fall flat on the mix of lyrics and music I'd have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the message of the music." - Daniel C. Morrison - CEO/Founder Hip Rock Magazine - www.hiprockmagazine.com

Up! ... BIG EGO???

it's late and as usual i am stumbling into the house with a smile on my face because i just conquered the world for a day :)

I find myself listening to Deepak Chopra radio on Pandora a lot lately. Even my taste in music has changed... I find myself listening to dub step and relaxing music in the form of soundscape etc...

you know how growing up we say things like i will never change? If only we knew how much we change every day whether we know it or not.

Sometimes i feel like people don't like to be around me cuz i'm always smiling and laughing as if life was perfect (to me it is) ... You would think it to be a good thing all the time but it's not. lol at least not through all my experiences.

They say i have a big ego, i tell em suck it! Takes a lot to be Mic-Jay.

my first review

i remember my first album back in 2008 when i released ONE OF A MIND it was a proud moment because i did all the work myself including recording and mixing.

I started getting reviews and a couple spins online and it made me realize something early on that most artists still don't to this day. (independent is the way to go)

I like making my own music how i want and when i want...

and now with the internet and all the tools available i can make it available to you at a larger scale and i'm loving it!

check out the review below about the song "Say No More" off of One Of A Mind,

check out "Say No More" in the app list of songs :)

R & B music lyricist, poet, and artist by Tyesha N. Isom Mic Jay

One of Boston's hottest R&B music lyricist, poet and artist Michael Joachim known as "Mic Jay" is a Boston native residing in Woburn , Massachusetts. Mic Jay a "corporate type of brother" describes himself as "different, a complex individual". When it comes to rhyming he see's himself as a cancerous "cerebral". Mic Jay uses his lyrical talent to portray his real story. As an artist Mic Jay is passionate and driven. Marinating his tasty flavor and success musically he collaborates with artist on song album projects. Sustaining his musicianship he has explored areas in multimedia performing as a contestant for a tv pilot "Make It Or Break It" produced and cast out of Atlanta, Georgia by Tyzae Entertainment. Achieving the winning spot 1st place this accomplishment has set the tone elevating Mic Jay to seek and plan higher goals artistically. Reviewing Mic Jay's original "Say No More" the music tone is heart felt by braking through his numb feelings and reality of his thoughts. Poetically this composition is a mixture music genres not just r&b. The baseline drops simultaneously with an electric guitar crescendoing, with a spirited female accompaniment, this rapid forte crosses the genre of rock. This slow tempo and forte ( strong, loud) sound, is electrifying. The future plans of this independent artist are to expand his Indie music independent Label Elevated Mind Records to a major label ran out of Boston, MA.
