I have big plans for releasing some merchandise from the OBP page!! I myself dabble in artistry and I know plenty of other people who like to paint.. I would like to get pictures of orange bellied parrots from artists to make merchandise to sell for proceeds! Also I would like to get some aboriginal art and dancing to make merchandise and videos to all help raise awareness and this cause! But I wont be uploading anything until we sort out the nitty grittys!
Please please please.. make it family friendly.. so no swearing or discriminatory lyrics please !! Thanks heaps
A song about Bird brains A song from perspective of the bird A song about the fact they mate for life ... love songs.. A song with the same verse but its sung in all different languages Any different language songs are welcome!! and all styles welcome
Spoken word, Metal, Folk, Alternative, reggae, acoustic, punk... go for it!!
You might be asking yourself what does this page have to do with music?? Well Im about to tell you!! This year I have been having so much fun making music with people all over the world and it has inspired me to have fun with music again, rather than trying so hard to 'get somewhere'. I wanted to do something special not only with my music but for another source of my inspiration, the Orange Bellied Parrot, which is critically endangered here in Australia! I thought about a ‘competition’ and it had been suggested about how many ‘broken hearts’ would be left at the end of it… ? I had another idea that may be more ‘musician friendly’ (I myself don’t like competitions either). I never liked Winners and Losers and wanted everyone to feel like they are welcome, can participate under no pressure and could come to a place where they met other musos for colabs or wrote their own material and everyone could come together to try something different. Write a song for the Orange Bellied Parrot.. If we get enough songs.. We could make a compilation album.. proceeds can go directly to the organisation for the Orange Bellies (OBP’s), if we have too many, we could introduce volumes?? It could be a fun way to raise awareness for this little bird and have fun with all genres and all nations here on Reverb Nation!! Eg just imagine a grooving reggae song for the OBP!! Copyright ownership remains completely with the artists with the permission to be allowed to use it for a CD. Further details to follow!!
