Hey, I am watchin' this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORFmAZOqxq0 and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on5iS1UU5OU. Yeah, Solid Senders from Austin, TX. What a band!!! Got their two CDs. 6 stars of 5! ;)
Two suggestions for blueslovers: 1/ New LIVE CD from Rick Estrin & The Nightcats called: You asked for it ...Live! It's a funny, witty and amusing collection of songs, this time with Kid Andersen on guitar. And 2/ B.B. and the Blues Shacks - Businessmen - a terrific blues combo from Germany swings and honks like mad with some well arranged horn charts. Have a fine listening and enjoy!
I always admired Tony Vega. Now I've got my ears on his Live Cd "Shakin' At the Easy" and my admiration continues. Just another delicious piece of hard driving Texas blues rumble. Tony, keep on chargin'.
EboardMuseum, Klagenfurt, Austria, 30 May 2014 - Yesterday we had a solid Blues Rumble in Klagenfurt. With each successive song, the audience reacted more enthusiastically. We had some solid moments to remember, most notably with our cover of I Hear You Knockin' Texas shuffle. We were chargin' like a well-renovated V8 Ford from the 50s sporting the Blues-O-Matic stereo radio. Lazy Lester and Jimmie Lee Vaughan would be proud of us. :D
After some time here they go again. The Tzar Blues Band will be rockin' the night at Eboardmuseum, Klagenfurt, Austria starting at 8.00 p.m. In Blues We Trust!
After a long pause caused by the lead singer pneumonia, a new recording has been uploaded. This time, Sugar Ray Norcia's Someday, Someway shuffle that was recorded originally as a video at Summer in Izola 2013 even has been chosen. Speaking of audio, it isn't HQ, however, it presents TTBB at their full tilt.
Well, this to say a couple of words of the one and only, GREAT band from California, USA, The Delgado Brothers. Man, when I heard their first two CDs I said: "Wow, this is something special." Now, I am listening to their third CD, Let's Get Back I am simply stunned. The Delgados are one of the most soulful blues-rock band I have heard for years. Don't miss these guys!
The Kokomo Kings (Denmark, Sweden) have been the absolute favourites of mine for the last couple of days. They are doin' their low-down boogie real low! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsZUxnFwM10
Solid Senders, Austin, Texas - Dig My Wheel - Absolutely enjoyable album in the best Austin blues tradition. Musicians involved are Spencer Thomas, vocals, Hector Watt, guitars, the one and only Keith Ferguson, bass and Matt Ryan, drums. Smokey! 5 stars plus!
Mayhey! I first heard of The Veldman Brothers from The Netherlands 3 years ago. And I thought they were fabulous. Now I am listening to their 1st CD again and I am stunned again. Man, they are really something. 5.5 stars of 5
