APRIL/MAY/JUNE 2014 Well… where should I start? Our new EP, “Four Way Stop” came out in April. It’s available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Pandora, and more! We’ve played a bunch of shows with a lot of rad bands and music groups! Shout out to the Cryptics, MCMG, Myke Bogan, Bedlam Saints, Koffin Kats, Reid Perry, Stranded By Choice, Carlton, and everyone else we’ve shared the stage with recently.
Pause & Play Magazine published a sweet article and we happened to be first on the list of recommended bands: http://www.pauseandplay.com/get-know-reverbnation-artists/
AJ Ostlund made an awesome ad for us that was placed only six pages in on Stencil Magazine UK’s 25th issue: http://issuu.com/stencilmag/docs/issue25
We have an interview coming out soon on the PopVulture Entertainment Network: http://www.popvltr.com/
Pandora accepted "Four Way Stop"! It's live now, so go listen to No Cigar radio on Pandora!

We’ve also been confirmed for the Denver Underground Music Showcase (UMS) in July, so we’ll be making a trip to Denver again then as well.
We are trying to book a legitimate tour in September and play a solid 20 shows in 3 weeks or less. This first run of shows in June is just a warm up and will test our endurance… it will also leave us a bit broke. Please check out www.pledgemusic.com/projects/nocigarus to see if you are able to help out with a small pledge. There are exclusive downloads including acoustic versions of No Cigar songs, live recordings of our CD release show, and more incentives/updates added constantly.
We’d like to thank everyone for their support in the past, present, or future. Thanks to anyone who’s made it to a show, checked out No Cigar online… or have gone the extra step by purchasing our music or pledging any amount of money towards our Kickstarter campaign last year, or our Pledgemusic campaign this year.
We are truly grateful for everything No Cigar has been able to do so far, and we can’t wait to see where this band takes us. -Nick (No Cigar)
First of all, we'd like to welcome Kody Keck to the band. He officially has a couple of shows under his belt now. 2013 was a good year... we put out our debut EP, said goodbye to Chris Reeves, played shows with the Photo Atlas, The-Front, Teenage Bottle Rocket, Carson Allen, Bam Margera, and a ton of rad local bands. It's been a cold, but rather productive winter. Colton was featured in Drum Magazine in the "New Blood" section of their January issue. We're playing with a sweet band called The Cryptics from New Hampshire on March 9th. It will be all ages and Carlton will warm the stage up. We've also been hard at work recording some new tunes, and plan to release them as part of a new EP called "Four Way Stop". You can pre-order it now at nocigarus.bandcamp.com
The CD release show will be at the Railyard on April 20th w/the Bedlam Saints, Magik City Music Group, Reid Perry, and Myke Bogan. It's going to be all ages and only costs $5 at the door. Copy and paste this link into your browser to pre-order advance tickets to the show plus the download of "Four Way Stop" for only $4.20 http://nocigarus.bandcamp.com/merch/advance-ticket-no-cigar-cd-release-show-sunday-april-20th-the-railyard-includes-download-of-new-ep-four-way-stop
Keep an eye out for tour dates early this summer... Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. We'll be trying to add California, Nevada, and Arizona in the Fall. If you live or know anyone in these places please send us some club/venue names or names of promoters in the area(Big or small) We will never be above house shows or couch surfing. firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for your time, we appreciate anyone and everyone who comes out to a show, buys a cd or t-shirt, or just takes the time to read our news. We'll be pushing hard in 2014.
Well... It sure has been one hell of a year. First of all, No Cigar was born, we ran a successful kickstarter campaign to fund our first EP, proceeded to record said album and had a hell of a release show. We've also played tons of rad shows with awesome bands like The-Front, Teenage Bottle Rocket, The Photo Atlas, In The Whale(kind of, we drove to Denver to play a Larimer Lounge BBQ show with them, but ended up playing way too early due to a schedule snafu), more recently, Carson Allen and Ashtree... and we're opening up for Bam Margera's band, Fuckface Unstoppable on Wednesday Dec. 4th! Unfortunately it's not all smooth sailing over here. Our guitar player, Chris Reeves has made a pretty epic life decision that will render him unable to continue playing with No Cigar... here's what he had to say, "After a TON of debate and consideration Kristi and I have decided to move out of the state at the end of this year. Therefor, my future with No Cigar is limited. You guys are seriously the best band mates a dude like me could ask for. We just have to make a change in our lives. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have questions, comments, or concerns. Feel free to reply... Cuz I'm bored. Or just ask tonight. Out of all the bands I've been in (and that's A LOT) this will be the one I miss the most. But in the eternal words of Tommy Pickles, "a babies gotta do what a babies gotta do." :-)" Chris will definately be with us for the Bam Margera show and we are hoping/making him play on Saturday, December 28th @ the Railyard Alehouse for the Bedlam Saints CD release party!... which happens to be a FREE SHOW for the working man!... or the non working man. Anyway, no excuse to not come see what should be Chris's last show with us and pick up a copy of "Chaos Theory" by the Bedlam Saints. Also, I wrote a new acoustic tune called "Semblance" Check it out: http://www.reverbnation.com/nocigarus/song/19347382-semblance-demo Happy birthday, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!! www.facebook.com/nocigarus www.reverbnation.com/nocigarus
We have four BRAND NEW demos for you check out. Zach wrote and sings one called "Empty". Chris wrote and sings one called "Haunt You". I wrote two called "Woe" and "Champion Of The World". They are still fresh as can be and subject to changes. ;)
Hope all is well, have a great week.

I can barely begin to explain the fun and frustration that has come along with the last 6 months... but I will try. We wouldn't be here without the 50+ Kickstarter backers that pledged enough money to get our CD pressed... however that only covered getting copies made. I also promised t-shirts, and stickers... and did I mention that I was also recording, and mixing the whole thing in my tiny garage(too small for my car), promoting the crap out of it, building websites, working multiple jobs, and playing shows with No Cigar, and the Bedlam Saints?
I'm definitely feeling a little worn down, but could not be more excited for our CD release show Saturday, August 24th. Carlton is opening up the show followed by the Debts, John Klemmensen & the Party, No Cigar, and then the Bedlam Saints will rock all night long. It's gonna be another one of those playing to the point of heat exhaustion kind of nights!
The Show is at the Railyard Alehouse and starts @ 9pm. Get there early though as it should be a busy night. The cover is only $5 and you will be offered a discounted copy of "Monsters" for another $5 at the door. 21+
We will have CD's, t-shirts, stickers, and cassette tapes for sale! Beer koozies coming soon!
Here is the guest list from the kickstarter campaign. If you're on this list you are good to go, just bring your ID for the door guys:
Shelly Miles +1
Luis Martinez Montoya
Jeanne Davis +1
Nicole Gabel Haggerty +1
Nathan Keyes +1
Angie Gabel +1
Katie Sukut +1
Sharryn Webinger +1
Cho Ski +3
The CD's are scheduled to arrive today. Stickers are on their way as well. T-shirts are being printed as we speak and should be done by this Friday. I'll find time to get everything in order this weekend and mail out everything that needs to be sent for the Kickstarter contributors. My band-mates and I will hand deliver most of the goodies to everybody in Billings to make sure you all have it well before the CD release show on August 24th. We can't thank all of you enough. No Cigar is here to stay and we are all very excited for what's to come.
Check it out. We have to make our goal by May 31st or bust. Spread the word. Help us release this album. If everyone only pledges a couple bucks each, we can make it! Anyone who pledges less than $5 will still get a copy of the EP before it's even released. It's getting down to the wire. Share this as much as possible! We appreciate everyone's effort no matter how big or small. Thanks for all the rad shows thus far. There will be plenty more in the future. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/547994313/no-cigars-debut-ep-entitled-monsters
We've decided to take a leap of faith and start a kickstarter project for our debut EP. Anyone who pledges is basically pre-ordering the CD that we are still working on right now. Every little bit helps and means the world to us. Check it out here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/547994313/no-cigars-debut-ep-entitled-monsters
