Ryan Tree "White Lights" Lyrics

"White Lights"

Bitter 'til the bitter end Have we been diving down the shallow end of life? (Life) Heaven sent oblivion When it's all said and done we're all lost in time (Why try?) Searching for the family that you never ever had Was it ever so bad? (Oh no) Dreaming of a better me Without you all I can do is just wish and wait for the Tide to rise and take you away As you wander off you parade through the rain The melody I wrote the glass will be stained And by morning light you are the one to illuminate me

Nothing weighs me down Nothing in the air that I have found The snow is so serene Warmth of the tidings that you bring You've never felt so cold You long for a hand to hold so Close your eyes and drive yourself Beyond these white lights

Now I'm bitter in the falling rain As the pain pain pain of our memories reflect upon the ground Our better days are silhouettes in the rear view mirror Heaven sent oblivion my heart will burn burn burn And if I cry out loud would you hear me? Even though the seasons change You're left here wishing waiting for the Tide to rise and take me away As I wander off nothing left to say but replay The melody I wrote the glass will be stained And by candlelight I am the one to illuminate you

Nothing weighs me down Nothing in the air that I have found The snow is so serene Warmth of the tidings that you bring You've never felt so cold You long for a hand to hold so Close your eyes and drive yourself Beyond these white lights [x3]

For every day you've lost I would Would replace And every soul you've touched I would Would embrace But until then...

Nothing weighs me down Nothing in the air that I have found The snow is so serene Warmth of the tidings that you bring You've never felt so cold You long for a hand to hold so Close your eyes and drive yourself Beyond these white lights

Ryan Tree Bio

A singer/songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona and frontman for the Montreal rock band Unfixed, Ryan Tree continues to follow his passion for music wherever it leads. Ryan was born in Plano, Texas and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. In his earlier years, Ryan spent his free time focusing on BMX and photography. He learned how to play the guitar in high school by studying Green Day tabs and practicing on a classic Fender Stratocaster. A few years later, he bought his first acoustic guitar while studying abroad in Hong Kong. After graduating from Syracuse University in 2009, Ryan spent the following summer writing and recording over 16 original songs using his home studio. His new obsession with music soon led him to Montreal, Canada, the international hub of rock and metal music. Within a few months, Ryan was picked up by the alternative metal band, Unfixed. Between 2010 - 2012, Unfixed gained incredible support from its fans. The group produced a rock-solid EP album and performed live shows at Montreal's most revered venues, including an anniversary show at Club Soda alongside Reset, the former band of Simple Plan. Although a devoted musician, Ryan made the difficult decision to pursue a business opportunity in his Arizona hometown. During the next year, Ryan worked for an advertising agency in Phoenix and an IT consulting firm in Scottsdale. In December 2012, Ryan returned to the music scene by releasing his debut single "White Lights". On July 3, 2013, Ryan backed the single with a full-length "White Lights" music video, starring pro UFC fighter Seth Baczynski and his son Skyler. The post-apocalyptic zombie video received over 20,000 views on YouTube within the first few weeks. Currently, Ryan continues to produce music at Uranus Recording of Tempe, a local studio owned by Robin Wilson, lead singer of Gin Blossoms. Teaming up with Chief Engineer Jon Weil and Assistant Engineer Michael Fearless, Ryan released his second single “Making Friends With Failure” on October 1, 2013 and is currently finalizing his upcoming album Illusions. Ryan’s second music video for an unreleased single “What I’m Living For” is also scheduled to be released in 2014. Ryan is extremely grateful for the continued support from his family, friends, and fans.
