Celtic Session & Sing-Song

First session at Darby's Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. Bring a song and/or an instrument and have some fun! Open to all.

The Light Well definitely shines

Our first time at this excellent spot in Orange, Va. The owners are very creative and they boasted a great sound system. And a receptive audience to boot? Looking forward to returning in the not too distant future!

Best night ever at Darby's!

Our favorite spot in the 'Burg finally secured its liquor license and business probably tripled last night! Great staff and patrons made for a very enjoyable evening of music, as well as a visit from my writing buddy, Claudia Wa'ar!

Virginia is for music lovers

Great gig at Charlottesville's reigning pub, the Tin Whistle and a lovely afternoon playing for the folks at the Griffin Tavern in beautiful Flint Hill, Va. Just the drive to the latter venue reminds one of just how beautiful a state Virginia is. Perhaps I should get a cam, put it on my dashboard and film it next time!

New website

In the event we forgot to mention it, we have a new website! Find us at www.celticmachnations.com.

St. Paddy's Week

It was a great four days of Irish music from Culpeper to North Stafford! Thanks to all who came and listened and we look forward to seeing you again!

March Madness

The Madness continues as we pick up and move to Charlottesville for a return gig at The Tin Whistle and for Sunday brunch at The Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill, Va. The former is one of the nicest towns in Virginia and a trip to Flint Hill reminds you just how beautiful this state really is.

March is going to be busy...

...and we're looking forward to it. We're returning soon to the Tin Whistle in Charlottesville after our successful debut there. We're looking forward to debut gigs in Culpeper and North Stafford and a successful return to Flint Hill.

First Night Winchester

It's been two months, but it's never too late to say that First Night Winchester was a successful one. Holly Brevik and her husband Andy joined us and the results were nothing short of spectacular! Great crowd to play for and CD sales were brisk.

We are honored to know that Spare Parts, our debut CD, has been nominated for best traditional folk recording of 2013. If you are a voting WAMA member, please consider us this honor. Thank you!
