MUSIC SUCCESS IN 9 WEEKS - WEEK 3: OPTIMIZE YOUR WEBSITE

1. ADD YOUR PITCH

I added it to all of our web sites.

2. YOUR SITE MUST LOAD IN LESS THAN 3.5 SECONDS

No problem here.

3. NO FLASH INTROS

No problem.

4. HAVE A CONSISTENT LOOK

I'm an art director/graphic designer when I'm not the leader and guitarist for The Funky Fritters so this comes naturally.

5. GIVE AWAY AN EXCLUSIVE MP3

I added the Give Away widget to our myspace pg.... http://www.myspace.com/thefunkyfritters

I also added Give Away offer to the contact page at our web site.

MUSIC SUCCESS IN 9 WEEKS - WEEK 2: CREATE YOUR PERFECT PITCH

I'm making some progress. It was a great exercise to play around with our pitch. I got a lot of fantastic feedback from everyone at the CyberPRMastermind site. I took the best suggestions from all and think I've come up with a great pitch....

The Funky Fritters – An 11 piece powerhouse serving up a Bowl of Funky Gumbo & A Hearty Helpin' of Deep Fried New Orleans R&B, Blues, Brass, Jazz & Funk. Have us at your next party, festival or BBQ. We won't leave you hungry!

What do you think?

MUSIC SUCCESS IN 9 WEEKS - WEEK 1: INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

Danny here, Funky Fritters band leader. So I just picked up Ariel Hyatt's Music Success In Nine Weeks ebook and entered The Funky Fritters in the Blog challenge. Here's our 1st of nine blogs.

I got my journal and I've been writing down our short and long term goals and our daily successes. Most recently a very good rehearsal which included 2 new original songs! We have a great new virtual assistant who has been helping post our events to all our social media outlets.

I posted a job at entertainmentcareers.net seeking a Band Management Assistant Intern http://www.entertainmentcareers.net/The_Funky_Fritters/Band_Management_Assistant_Intern/job/113231/ to help me out with running the band. I've already got several great responses! If you're interest please get in touch. It's a great time to get involved in the band.

So things are moving and shaking with The Funky Fritters....

Weare looking for Street team help so if you or anyone you know id interested please get in touch!

Thanks, Danny Drexler Band Leader/Guitarist The Funky Fritters http://www.thefunkyfritters.com/

Great show at the Bitter End Last night!

I got the recording of the show off he board and of course I listened to it as soon as i got home after the show. That was at 3AM! I'm happy to report that the show and sound were pretty good. I'm particularly excited that we played one of our originals...March on down on the 2nd line. It came out pretty good.

Thanks again to Sarah and the gals at Waterproof Soul for helping with the Merch booth. She also shot some video of the show. We should have some of that up in week or so.

Next show is coming up in just a few weeks on June 19th. We'll be back at the Tea Lounge. See you there!
