The CD is Finished!!!!

The CD is Finished!!!! Please take time to listen and let us know what you think.

Hopefully we have a finished CD this Saturday. And once again a BIG THANK YOU to MIKE!!!!! Thank you for all the work you have put into this CD.

CD Update

We have started the mixing process. And just a couple more guitar tracks to put down. Thank you Mike for all the work that you are doing for us in the studio. For those of you who are familiar with the band in Omaha NE, the songs we have recorded are The Demon Strikes, Ashes to Ashes, For Vengeance, Bum Fights and because everyone loved what we did to it and said we should record it. Our twisted and evil version of Duran Duran's song Hungry Like the Wolf. Yes we Metal up Hungry Like The Wolf. Fans of Duran Duran have told us we did an exellect job. So hopefully in a couple more weeks it will be up for everyone to listen to and please tell us what you think.

Over 10,000 plays in 8 months. I wonder what it will look like in another 8 months after our CD release in June.

Almost Finished

One more weekend and we should be done recording all the tracks. Then, we have to mix it. And mixing can take longer than recording. But we are almost done.

The first week of recording went good. We have a lot of work to do yet. But we are looking at the end of April for our 1st professionally recorded CD to be released.

We plan on going into the studio if a few weeks to start recording our first CD.

How VIZAGOTH got it's name.

Vizagoth, Adam was sitting at home one night back in 2005 watching the history channel. Adam was watching how Rome fell to the Visigoth. Having just left Obsidian Empire he thought to himself, that would be an awesome band name. Being a graphic artist and designer Adam got on line and started to research the name. He found, back in 2005, that there were no bands named visigoth. But, Adam thought that it was too good of a name and sooner or later someone else will think the same thing. So he played with different spellings of the name. He finally settled on VIZAGOTH and drew up a logo. For almost 7 years he sat with this band in mind. He posted the art work on his Deviantart page and mentioned how this would be his next band.

Finally, Shelly called him one day and asked if he wanted to get Obsidian Empire going again. Obsidian Empire had something different, but due to conflicts in the band it didn't last long. When Adam and Shelly started jamming againg, Adam told Shelly about changing the name to VIZAGOTH. Shelly was on board with the name, and when Dave joined the band he instantly like the name. Paul and Bob both joined VIZAGOTH at about the same time.

Dave is known for playing in Omaha's industrial band Haunted Reason. Paul and Bob have been in a few bands, but they came to VIZAGOTH after the break up of Antiock in Omaha, Nebraska. The reason Adam wanted to explain this is because, as he foresaw, there is a band out there called Visigoth now. Also, Adam has come across the same alternate spelling for visigoth that he came up with almost 7 years ago. Not bands, but groups and a guitar named Vizagoth. He figures that's what happens when you post your art on line, chances are someone else is will think it's a good idea too. Well there is a little more about the band and how VIZAGOTH got it's name and why it is spelled differently. And to the other band out there called Visigoth (the correct spelling) VIZAGOTH wishes you luck in your music.
