Jon Harris Band News
I'm very happy to announce our show at Big Tex in Decatur on 8/9. It will be a full night of music from us, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes and appetites. As the son of a Texan, trust me when I say that they do it up Texas big and Texas awesome at Big Tex.
JHB has been in the studio, working on our EP. We've been laying down some preliminary tracks and choosing the tunes, but more on that later.
We'd like to welcome Clint Aul to the fold, holding down the bass. Some of you that have been with me for a while might recognize that name as being 1/3 of the old Sin Hounds. It's been great getting back together and making some music with my old friend. We are all excited about what he's bringing to the group.
The Sundogs News
Last weekend The Sundogs made a triumphant return to my old stomping ground Chattanooga, playing at the 2013 Riverbend Festival. I think we are all still riding high on a wonderful night. For those of y'all that could make it, thank you so much. For those of y'all that couldn't, look for us to get back up there ASAP.
We have also been hard at work in the studio, trying to finish our new single "I May Not Make It into Heaven". Everything has been coming together nicely, and we'll be releasing it for our big blowout show at Smith's Olde Bar show on 7/27.
Speaking of our 7/27 Smith's show, YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS IT. We're calling it our version of the Rock & Roll Circus, and we are planning on it being truly epic. Our friends Like a Locomotive and Freddy's Finest are also joining us for the festivities.
Well, that's about it. Of course there is always more to tell, but you really need to get back to work now.
See you soon, Jon
I hope everyone is doing well. Things have been busy and exciting for me and JHB, as of late. First, KT and I have been in the studio, laying down some preliminary tracks for some JHB tunes as well as what will possibly be a new Sundogs release.
Tonight I will be at Eddie Owens (of Eddie's Attic fame) new venue in Duluth. I'll be playing for the Monday open mic competition. If I win, I will go on to compete in the Open Mic Shoot out. Years ago I played in two of these things at Eddie's Attic, and they are a blast. I'll keep y'all informed as to the progress. If you are in the neighborhood tonight and want to stop by, I am slotted to go on at 7:30 PM. Eddie Owen Presents at Red Clay Theatre 3116 Main St, Duluth, GA 30096 (404) 478-2749
This Wednesday 5/22 KT and I are back at Bhojanic in Buckhead doing our duo thing. We'll start around 5:30. Come out have a traffic-avoiding cocktail and some lamb curry. You will not be disappointed.

Finally, for all of you Chattanooga folks, The Sundogs are coming at you as well. Saturday 6/8 we are playing Riverbend. We go on at 9:30 PM. I'm not entirely sure which stage it is, but I think we're under the walking bridge.
Take care, and I hope to see you soon
Real quick little blurp to let y'all know that KT and I will be doing the duo thing tonight and next Weds, at Bhojanic's newest locations in Buckhead. Both nights we'll be on from 5:30-7:30.
See y'all there.
Well folks, we have almost reached the end of my Southern Ground Social Club residency. Thanks to everyone for making it out over the past 3 weeks. We’ve had a great time getting to know the staff and some of the locals. If you haven’t been down there yet, you need to make the trip. It’s a great room with a great live music vibe, and most importantly, it’s all for a truly wonderful cause. As usual, the show time starts at 8:00, and I’ll be playing until 11:00 or so. Got a few brand new originals planned for tomorrow, as well as some Allman Brothers, John Prine, Son Volt, Dylan, and of course JJ Cale. See y’all there. Jon
Hey folks, A couple of things going on this week: 1. Don’t forget that my April residency at Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Social Club continues this Weds, 4/10. I’ll be on from 8:00-11:00. KT will be joining me on keys for a little Jon Harris duo action. Last week went fantastic. If you haven/t been there yet, it’s is definitely worth the distance. The food and drink is great, the stage and sound set up is perfect, the staff are wonderful, and if you are a whisky drinker like me, the selection is choice. See you down there. 2. For those of you who a midweek trip to Senoia is a tall order, I have another solo show on Sunday 4/14 at the Spring Festival on Ponce – Arts & Crafts Festival. The festival will be held at Olmsted Linear Park from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM. I go on at 1:30 PM sharp, and will be playing for about an hour. Admission is free, and what’s more I had a powwow with the rain & weather gods so it’ll be the perfect place to come after your Sunday brunch. http://www.festivalonponce.com/Festival.html 3. Finally I’ll be sitting in with my old buddies the Bug Zappers this Saturday 4/13 out in Carrollton, GA. It’s been a little over a year since I got to play with these guys, and I’m very excited to be mixing it up with Deputy Duddy, TJ, Zack, and Cuz again. It’s a private show so if I see you, I see you. If not, I’m sure we’ll catch up soon. Well, that’s about it for me. Hope to see you out somewhere this week! Jon
