Many of you have been inquiring since the middle of the past summer and we appreciate your patience with us. We just wanted to make sure it was as good as we could make it

This week we will finally put the final touches on the CD project. So many of you have asked when we will have it and we keep pushing back the date. We have had a very busy summer performing publicly and privately so finding time to finish up the projects has been a challenge. But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and the new projected date is by the middle of September. The CD will be available through many different avenues that we will be announcing once we have all of that nailed down. Thanks for all of you who have shown an interest in music from the Robbie Cockrell BAND. WE CALL IT HONKY TONK MUSIC South Carolina Style

Busy Busy

The RCB has been very busy for a weekend band. We have had a run for several weeks then a short break and now back at it for a while. In the midst of all of this we are still trying to put the finishing touches on the CD project. Finding time has been the biggest challenge. Some interest has been shown for some of Robbie's songs and that is about all we can say at this time hoping good things for that but all musicians know what a crap shoot that is but still a little excited about the folks that have shown interest. Keep up with the calendar and if you are local or from out of town and see us out somewhere please come up and let us know who you are and we would love to talk with you.

What a Week end

The RCB had a great but busy weekend. Friday night was a killer show at Penny's Place with a crowd of people who love REAL COUNTRY MUSIC. We love playing for crowds like this. Then it was a long long long day in the studio on Saturday. when finished laying down the basic tracks for the last song on the project and now it's time to start fixing the mistakes and cutting vocals. This first project is only six songs but it has felt like 600. It aint Nashville but who cares this is for the people who like the Robbie Cockrell Band. We hope to be done with this by the end of June. WE HOPE!

Spring is here

Spring has finally arrived in S.C. and our schedule is now full. It was a great day at Rocken Fest 2013 in Ballentine S.C. this past Saturday April 6th. The Robbie Cockrell Band was one of three groups that performed at the fest and the RCB was the featured act. Pretty cool to be the featured act at a Festival called Rocken Fest and we only play stone bone honky tonk country. It was an absolute blast and it was great watching people getting into traditional country music. It is always great to hear from these folks during breaks or after the show and their comments on how much they appreciate us doing REAL COUNTRY MUSIC. We hear that same comment over and over every where we go. We are back in the studio for a day and then several shows between now and July 4th. We have several outdoor events coming up and we really enjoy these. Some of these turn into real parties. Several of the events are also family friendly events and we love these as well. Hoping to have the CD project done soon

The RCB has taken a few weeks off and have been rehearsing and plugging in new material getting ready for the busy spring season. The C D project is coming along slowly but surely and we are hoping by the end of spring we will be done. We take a moment to congratulate our brother Kenny Martin on his performance on the Grand Ole Opry this past Saturday March 24th. As many of you may know Kenny also plays steel guitar for the Marshall Tucker Band and has had the great fortune of performing on the opry 3 times now. The rest of the band is very proud and VERY jealous. Make sure to keep up with the calendar page and visit our web site. We have a lot of dates coming up and surely we will be somewhere close to where you are. Make plans to come out because you know we always like seeing all of your smiling faces. The RCB also wants to wish all of you very Happy Easter and we hope that you take a moment to remember why we celebrate Easter. From the 4 of us to all of YOU!
