How busy we've been.
In May, our 7 song full-length album was released through the English black and doom metal label Mordgrimm, which has a slew of commanding releases under its belt. We're humbled by the response and interest the release has received.
Runes also just got back from our first tour as well, and we are gearing up to embark on a 22-date tour out East with Dallas heavyweights Giant of the Mountain in September/October. We'd like to have been all over the continental US before this year is over with, setting an authoritative pace for us to use as a standard for our campaigns in 2014.
It is our pleasure to announce that Runes of the Evening has agreed to and entered into a recording contract with Mordgrimm Records (Anaal Nathrak, Covenant, Osculum Infame, Dragged into Sunlight) for international distribution of the upcoming self-titled full length. We will post the official press release once its up from the label. We are looking forward to seeing where we will go from here, and getting out on the road as soon as possible.
We can't say thank you enough to those who support us in what we do since day one. You guys rule.
Sometime over the course of production, our engineer Sam Paquette likened working on a recording to getting a tattoo: it was going to be long and painful, but after it was over, you would be left with something very unique and memorable.
After more man hours than any of us even want to think about, Agni and Indra are finished. James Murphy did a fantastic job mastering and the final product is something Runes is very proud of. We hope everyone is as pleased with it as we are.
