Welcome to Smashbox Symphony with John West

John West along with his 2012 lineup of Smashbox Symphony were a band dedicated to bringing their brand of Modern/Retro Rock music to today’s music scene. They have been compared to such classic acts as Queen and Yes and modern favorites like The Killers, and Coldplay, with a touch of Duran Duran

Hailing from the Mid Atlantic region John West and Smashbox Symphony has a cast of characters in their lineup known both regionally and nationally. Three members of the band are from Capitol Recording Artists group Facedancer. Facedancer was signed to Capitol Records in the early 80’s and had charted albums both in the US and the UK. The lineup on "One" consisted of Jeff Adams (Guitar, Guitar Synth, Vocals), David Utter (Guitar , Vocals) and Billy Trainor (Drums, Percussion, Keyboards) joining them are Steve Carodiskey from the Drivin Livid, and the Jamie LaRitz Band (Bass, Vocals) and well known Singer/Songwiter from Philadelphia John West (Lead Vocals)

Though the bands roots are in live performance Smashbox Symphony "One"came together as a recording project. That project produced their first album titled "One". With, polyrhythmic beats, soaring guitars and orchestrated multicultural influences. John set out to create a retro art-rock concept album and along with Drummer Billy Trainor and Jeff Adams on Guitar the picture was painted, following through with his concept... *****Currently John has just finished penning the songs for the followup "Smashbox 2" album and will begin recording in summer 2014, with a brand new lineup of players.
