Just received Best Contemporary Christian Country Song from Akademia Music Awards December 2013 for the song I wrote "Thank You Lord for Saving Me"...
As we reflect on the cross of Christ and what HE did for us...I am reminded that by dying in our place for our sins, Christ removed the wrath of God that we justly deserved.
Because of our sins, we were alienated – separated — from God. Christ’s death removed this alienation and thus reconciled us to God. We see this, for example, in Romans 5:10-11: “For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”
We are REDEEMED...He paid the RANSOM...We are not simply redeemed from the guilt of sin; but we are redeemed from the power of sin meaning that our slavery to sin is BROKEN! We are now FREE to live in righteousness.
Christ's death was a DEFEAT of the power of SATAN. Satan's only weapon that can hurt people is unforgiven sin. Colossians 2:13-14 says: When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
What I share today is to be reminded of the most wonderful gift God has given...His Son, the perfect sacrifice. Whatever troubles or hard times you are going through, I'm praying that He will restore your soul, that He will lift you up, that His Words will comfort you, that you will bask in His presence, that you will REST IN HIM... where there is fullness of joy and know that He is walking right alongside you.
Just thought I would share a ministry I co-founded to help give hope and purpose to girls/women and help them become all that God created them to be. My music is for the purpose of helping to support this ministry and cause. A lot of the songs I write are to help raise awareness and to minister to others. God Bless! Have you ever received a gift you didn't deserve? You may have wondered what you did to deserve it? In a lot of situations, it was nothing, but the gift was given to you out of love. God is so great that He gives us His grace because of His love for us. It is his favor upon us.
Grace is God showing His love to you even though you don't deserve it. You can't earn God's grace. You do not deserve to be saved from sin and to have eternal life. But God showed His grace by saving you from sin's punishment when you trusted in Jesus as your Savior. God also shows His grace by giving you strength and guidance, and by taking care of you each day. God, by His grace, gives you strength to handle difficult problems in your life. God's grace is wonderful, in fact, it's amazing!
We can't be righteous on our own, only in Christ. Grace is Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf. He came to "give His life a ransom for many." (1 Timothy 2:6). He became poor so we could become rich, He redeemed us, He bore our sins on the cross and bore the sins of many; our iniquity fell on Him.
If you know Jesus as your Savior, you can be thankful that God saved you by His grace. The Bible says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith . . ." (Ephesians 2:8).
And so He positions you for what He wants you to do to advance His Kingdom. You have a part, a unique purpose and no matter what comes your way, remember that if God is for you, who can be against?
That brings freedom, doesn't it! Complete and utter dependence upon Him. I love His amazing grace!

Just added a new video from a song I wrote called "Lead Me"...
God's love is unfailing. He never gives up on us. The word of God tells us that there is refuge under the shadow of God's wing (Psalm 57:1). When we go to God the Father he will provide us with shelter from the things of this world. It does not mean that we are exempt from having bad days or that bad things will happen to us, but God will provide us with everything we need to make it through the situation. (John 16:33, 1 John 5:4).
May we always be reminded to humble ourselves asking Him to lead us in all we do.
I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8 (AMP) Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)
The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him. Nahum 1:7 (AMP)

I was lost but now I'm found, roaming round no solid ground, but then you came into my life....thank you Lord for saving me!
I wrote this song about the journey of life using the road as an illustration. It takes you all kinds of places with highs and lows, and some you may not be able to handle, but through it you are not alone, don't go alone, follow God, ask Him to show the way, the path. It's not always easy, but to remember that God orders our steps, follow Him, be the light, do what's right, stay on the path....this will last!
Video is up on my youtube channel! Thanks to everyone who was a part of it...it was a blessing!http://youtu.be/DSCSvJg_A_w
